Important

Just got back from a post KOH wheeling trip. Since the manhunt was on in Big Bear for the cop killer we changed our plans from rattlesnake canyon and ran half of the old mojave trail. It was really awesome. Not difficult at all, i bet a stock 4 wheel drive could do it, but really cool to wheel through so many different types of terrain. The side trips hiking canyons, looking for springs, mines, exploring washes and extinct volcanoes, camping in old cattle holding areas was really different from the wheeling in the Midwest and very fun. If you ever get a chance to run it I highly recommend it.

With your jeep with the one tons?

Found a place about 30-40min away in that apparently only salvages Blazers, Cameros, Cherokees and Grand Cherokees...

Between a buddy looking for Frt fenders, hood, nose and me looking for GC seats and XJ doors... this could be a hot-spot...

So, ya gonna hook a brother up with a little more info?

Anyone interested in a 93 Chevy 1500 4X4 crew cab, it may or not need a tranny.

hey...

let me know about this. my bro might be interested, but i'll have to put the tranny in for him. got pics and a price?

if we move out east, he wont have a brother with an xj that can get gear into muddy, snowy cornfields :)

anyone know how much scrap car batteries are worth? i have a bunch laying around and i think the scrapyard that i go to will take them...

cleanin house...just in case

I will let you guys know, but it sounds like its primarily XJS/ZJ/WJ they work with...

I don't want to say anything else until I scope the place out and see if its for real...

135000 miles, new tires, We have done all maintenance on this truck for the past 10 years. It WILL need a tranny. did a filter & fluid change & it didn't help. It just has slushy upshifts, if you play with the skinny pedal it ain't too bad, but the damage is done. They want $1600 for it. It got donated to the Lions club & whatever it sells for goes to them. I think the price can come down a bit. I has a hard top cover on the bed , all fluids have been flushed, other than this tranny issue, it was a well maintained truck. It belonged to a lawyer up the street from the shop. It would make a nice tow vehicle, I just don't have the funds to buy it right now.

Got my ZJ seats today, might start the swap on the passenger side on Friday (to judge the time it takes) and if it is an hour or so job, I will do the drivers side after my Grandma's funeral on Saturday. Also picked up some .357 and 9mm rounds this morning from Walmart (right place, right time to get them) and joined the nice conservation club.

The answer to ALL of my CHEROKEE WOES

This is what I found when I pulled the front Carpet up today...
