oh...i guess the j10 was driveable when i bought it :)

i just forget about it since i put it in the shed until i have time to work on it in december again

what a bunch of crap.... ;)

awd talon?

Nope I wish, looked at one after that car though. It was still a 4g63 just non turbo. The TSi I looked at would spool then fall on its face. That was a no go.

The 4g's were good motors, I had a buddy who pushed 26psi on stock internals, the manual trans went before the motor.

I made a sad face when a hyundai motor replaced it in the evos

I will be voting for a commiefornian though, they will probably keep things more "fair" ;)

:wstupid:

I know you are joking but if not.....

GoSlow needs to list off his vehicles. They may rival Sean's list and he's half his age. Well, a few over half at least.

You know you change vehicles often when you measure the time you had them in fractions of a month...

It takes me years to even get rid of a parts car.

I've never kept anything more than 3 years.....about 2 into it I get thw itch to move on.....have a good mix right now, a midsized 4x4 pickup would round it out

You've really slowed down in recent years Byron, first time I met you years ago I believe you were still on the FSJ. I'm finally learning that one way or the other, I lose money every time I switch vehicles. Everything I buy needs tires, or brakes, or this or that and by the time I get it all done then it's time to sell. :dunce:

My nerd kind of got the best of me, so it's all in Excel with buy/sell dates and buy/sell prices, and the differences between the two. Which I generally try to ignore (for the price at least).

Just remembered one that I forgot, way back in the day when I was running around with Josh and some other friends from high school we bought this gem at a junkyard... 87 Dodge Colt 4x4. Should have learned then that beaters are the most fun.

That little thing was so effed up. No neutral safety switch, you could start it in gear with the clutch out. Push button AWD on the shifter that I'm sure didn't work. Half-assed welded shut doors. Horrible interior. Screwdriver ignition at time of purchase, off the shelf ignition from Advance within a week. Went back to the yard like 4 weeks later. Of course, by then we had amassed a load of destruction and had to pull it back to the yard. I steered it without a driver's door, the rest of the car loaded with junk, no rear views, flat tires on the driver's side getting hit on the legs with melted rubber while chain smoking and white knuckleing it all the way there.

That thing was fun!
