Important

There is many classes I wish I would took in high school, automotive stuff is one of them. My high school had the shop for mechanical stuff, North high school had the body shop I believe. You could take both I believe if you wanted to.
Did your school offer English and grammar? I'm a grammar nazi, just ask Meganne. Your posts make my brain implode one the regular.
Yes it is! The book used at the beginning of the course is as old as I am!

On the fun side of things, the wheel balancer I am looking at is a Hunter Road Force Touch. RFT00 includes Road Force, StraightTrak, touch screen interface,
SmartWeight, eCal auto calibration, auto-open hood, TPMS Specs, inflation station, 10 collets

MSRP is $18,000, I can get it for $13k with a bunch of accessories.
So what you're saying is by the time you teach these kids how to balance a tire, they still won't know how to balance a tire? Haha! That machine takes nearly all the work out of it. Though anything to help make book on tires is nice, but sometimes new technology gets in the way. Or my way, at least.
If Zombies happen...I'm two doors down from a cemetery...

No worry. Zombies only attack and infect the living. The living dead isn't reanimated. The virus needs to circulate from bite wound to the brain and can't happen with dead flesh.

With or without it, I'll believe seeing you roll into Attica, when I see it :anon:

Truth and truth again.

depends, now days movies just show a mass virus spreading into the population faster than it can be contained. older movies show the dead rising from their grave and attacking the living.

zombie wise, slower typical zombies and i survive. fast 28days later style zombies and im done for.

you guys crying about these big trailers, I put a big trailer in McDonalds drive thru everyday my life.

K will be at Winterfest this year, because this is going to be the best winter fest ever. So I've heard.

I can't wait for WF13.

I recommend Max Brooks's book. It's called 'The Zombie Survival Guide.' Just the first chapter will give you more "scientific" knowledge than any movie ever will. It is approached in an absolute scientific manner.

Like OJ's book...If it were possible, this is how it would happen.

Things like, zombies can not have super human strength. They can only use the strength left in the body as it continues to decay after the brain has been infected by the virus. The virus enables the brain to function without oxygen which is why the body dies, but it continues to be mobile.

I think in total length I'm longer than you...

Would it help any if I told you Max Brooks is Mel Brooks's kid?

to me that does not make much sense. a guy is randomly guessing what a zombie might come equipped with. there is no possible way he could know if a zombie would have super human powers or not. just being able to walk and eat is a pretty super power imo.

i get a kick out of watching terrible zombie movies and netflix has really helped me out. one day i watched one and the "survivors" of this one was a mix of cops and thugs. before it all happened they were in the middle of a shoot out.
anyways the basis of these zombies was they were dumbed down to their most basic survival instincts. eating and sex. these zombies were eat AND raping people.

Austin,

The work you are doing with that program is sweet. Most know that I work part time doing security in the schools (why I'm on during the day most of the time). I work security for the local High School trade school. They have cosmetology, cooking, business, computers, tv, ems, fire, police, construction and automotive. We have an entire building that is dedicated to the auto students. They have mechanical from electrical to motors to you name it. They also have a paint and body shop. They have some cars that have been donated and they tear them apart and put them back together all the time. All four school districts and an out of county district feed kids in here. Its very cool. If you'd ever get to Fort Wayne, I'd get you a tour set up. They do work on people's cars, but they are scheduled a long way out. I was going to ask about the transmission in the ZJ, but I need it done sooner, rather than later.

Sounds like you are off to a great start.

That's the thing, he is not guessing. Well, he is theorizing, but it is practical. It makes more sense that a virus can not use a host to do things beyond what it's living physical capabilities are than giving dead tissue more strength. The only thing that a zombie has in benefit is the lack of a need of oxygen. They don't get winded, they don't drown, they just plain don't breathe. The body is only limited to what the brain can make it do.

I know that this is all theory, but it makes the most sense. I began reading it and chuckled to myself when Max used words like "scientific" and "fact", but the fact is, the body is limited. A dead body, even more so.

It's worth the read. You'll get more out of it than any movie. I promise.

But I understand where you're coming from too. His facts are based upon the reaction one goes under from one specific virus. Maybe there could be a super enhanced virus (like what you were suggesting with gov't experimentation or what have you) the genetically enhances the human body. But that would be a totally different virus.
