Its just a 90* adaptor for the shrader valve.
take it back...i've broken a bunch of their tools. they know the oem stuff is garbage and they get them replaced for free. i always just make sure to tell them...there is one guy there that i always go to when i rent tools just because i know he won't give me grief. i've bought tools from them that i've absolutely destroyed and they have no issue exchanging them
Tail pipe fell of of the f twofiddy the other day. Took it to an exhaust shop to have a new one put on, he asked me why there was three inch pipe welded on where the muffler was. It was also kinked where it was bent. He took that pipe out and now this thong runs like a striped assed ape. Todays lesson, look under your vehicle once in a while.
so im getting much better with my little miller and the roll of flux core i bought...laid some really nice beads on some 3/16 and i really don't have much concern about the weld strength...especially after 2-3 passes...
however, im having a small issue. the wire feeds fine for a while, but then starts to slip a little on the roller causing an incosistent puddle. is it possible that the gun needs a new liner? it seems to come out just fine on the other end, but i can hear the wheel when it slips...its only for a split second then it grabs again. the welder is meant for up to .035 wire and the wire im using is only .030 so it shouldn't be a problem. the tip i have on is right too. it feels like when it hits the gun sometimes it hangs up in there...thoughts?
other than that i really like it. i had to get out 220 power distro that has 110 30 amp outlets on it because the outlets in the shop kept popping breakers. there supposedly 20 amp but the wiring is so old on that side, i would rather not risk it.
im not to comfortable with heights, i just keep telling myself that eventually you must get used to it, also you are pretty safe for the most part.
this is what im going to school for, so every now and then i watch a bunch of videos on it to try and mental prep me for when my future boss tells me to get my ass out on that hub.
there is a tv show on the weather channel i have not yet seen called turbine cowboys, im sure its dramatized and hyped up for good tv but i would like to check out a couple episodes
80+ stories just means more time to think about what's gonna happen, before you go splat.
Edit: for those that haven't seen these pics before, I don't have a side job working at ridiculous heights. My buddy was one of the lead pipefitters on the Trump Tower, and got the pics from the crane operator. If you have time to look through the album, there are tons of great pics in there.
if you stock up enough, you will always be able to find one.
This is how I ended up with like 8 tape measures. For a while I kept losing them, and I was in a hurry to get the roof done so I'd pick up another on my daily pilgrimage to home depot. I have now found most of them, and leave them scattered around the house so it only takes me 30 seconds or so to find one no matter where I am.

One of the cool things about this place that keeps me around is watching what I used to consider the "new guys" build their rigs and watch them advance in their wheeling abilities. Some will get the itch and build stupid big rigs that are like big dumb animals (or attempt to as in my case), some will build aggressive daily drivers ane some will build purpose built rigs and the list goes on and on. It is still cool seeing people getting into the sport/club and having the proverbal fire still lit. So, keep up the builds, it keeps me pseudo entertained
I will not be building them, ill be the guy basicly doing oil changes and maintenance daily. 1 guy works on the same 10 turbines for a company.
From what im told by my instructors, the guys that build them will be getting paid almost twice as much as i will. but they travle much more like every 6/10 months to a new farm. with the new wife and plans for children in the future i really cant go that route.
