As a guy who ate at least 8 cheeseburgers (I stopped counting) at a NAXJA event in PA at a junkyard a few years ago, I kinda want to try this now.

I'd imagine there are Prime Quarters closer to you than here, but if you wanna come to GB for some reason or another, I'll have dinner with you to witness this.

No, no. The point is that we may have the mentality and attitude necessary to be members forever, but lifetime memberships aren't available.
 
so...how do ya'll approach getting permission on private land to wheel? i went to explore a farm today that i was granted permission to hunt on and not only could it be the best possible waterfowling spot i've ever found, it has some amazing trails cut on it too. they use the trails in the woods once a year for an international atv race, but then 363 other days, they are dormant. the daughter of the land owner who was showing me around told me they used to let a lot of people out there but stopped in recent years...same with the people hunting down there. i plan on slowly easing my way into them being comfortable with me hunting there since they only let one other person hunt there as of now...then hopefully in a while, i might ask a few questions about wheeling there. my wife is friends/co-cheerleading coach with the landowners daughter (how i obtained permission) and we will actually be going there next week to said atv race to check it out after the football scrimmage game. we've also been invited to drink and camp on labor day weekend...on which i was told i could take my jeep down my trails to the river with them to swim since i don't own an atv...the bad part is that i won't be able to make it on labor day since i will be working in new york. ah well...this is looking to be awesome hunting ground so im really fine if it never turns into more than that
 
It sounds like you're just going to have to bide your time. Seems like if they're willing to let you take it down the trail to get back there, you have your foot in the door to someday "take a couple jeep buddies down to the river to camp" or what have you.

Though I would love to find a place like that to just use for the reason to go camping/fishing/swimming and not have to worry about pissing people off from getting rowdy or having other people around. Just my little quiet spot.
 
You'll never be ready for it Mac. If it's not a stroller it's a play kitchen. If it's not a play kitchen it's a big girl bike. After 4 years I'm not ready for the next stage.


Going tomorrow to pay for my XD and fill out the paper work. Pics to come when it arrives in my hands.

Dude, it's so worth it. Don't get me wrong, it's a lot of work, but the rewards...it's hard to find the words.

Hands down THE MOST AWESOME thing you'll ever do!! Trust me, my son is 1 1/2 and it is so much fun. I would trade everything and anything for him.
