speak for yourself Danno, I love using chains wrapped through the windows of a vehicle to help with the recovery :D

In all honesty, most of us have been in this game a long time and know right from wrong, but it is good that you did point out that those were made in jest b/c it only takes 1 person to take it serious.....and then it would be a doody storm that we would not want to contend with.

josh, go to the Prime Quarter and eat the big steak.
I made it my *****!
My picture is on the wall in Janesville to prove it.
I've considered it. I'm not certain I can do it. I have a strategy in mind, but I'm not certain I have what it takes.

I bow my head in shame.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Prime Quarter, their signature contest meaty, steak meal is the Beefeater.

"For $26.95, you grill a 40 oz. USDA choice top sirloin and are eligible to participate in a contest. If you eat all your dinner in less than one hour and 15 minutes, including a trip to the salad bar, a baked potato and Texas toast, you become a member of our Beefeater's Club®."

I know, it's a sad state of paranoia that society has put us into.
In all seriousness, Dan, you are right.

Personally, I've got no problem using either chains, or straps. But, you don't mix the two, and that includes straps with hooks or shackles between them. I grew up using chains to pull out stuck farm equipment, and actually got Dad convinced to used straps as well. Ask me over a cold tasty beverage.

anyone know folks in co? i have a buddy stuck in the mountains with a blown t case...i posted in the colorado forum, but i dont' know folks out there that arent in denver. i think they are close to breckenridge

Flex, what is your username on Ingo. I use the same one over there. In fact, Ingo is my next web stop.

Look in the jeep thread, you'll find me quick. :)

I should be able to find it quickly, I started it.

"XDinmyXJ", ah, never made the connection that is you. Ha. I missed the whole winterfest comment when I made the thread.

That's me.

Ordered up a set of bidnes cards. $10/250...can't beat it. The plan is to use them as a way to get NAXJA's name out there to people who buy Jeeps already built or just haven't heard of us. I see lifted XJs all over GB and surrounding cities. I'd like to get a larger gathering from our area.

Preaching to the choir... Why do you think I have a 12in diameter MWC logo on the sides of my jeep, as well as on the A-line, and club stickers on the hatch...
