Important

Prolly around $300. I still need to pull it and see why it won't unlock. That price would include the switch, solenoid, and air line.

if altrocker is not interested I am, pending pictures and part number

Have some kids.

Then take a look around. Find any SUV's with all the family bells and whistles of a minivan? Nope. How about 25 mpg on the highway? Nope. How about the ability to take the family AND whoever is visiting you all in the same car to dinner? Maybe, but you either have to put the adults in the third row where their knees are in their chests or you have to put the kids back there and you can't get to them when they're doing something they're not supposed to.

Then go price that SUV that does all the things that the minivan does. I can buy a new town and country for $30k. I can't touch a new expedition or suburban with the same options for less than $45k.

I hate minivans. I always swore that I'd never own one. But you grow up, you have a family and you start to realize that if you buy the right tool for the job, you spend a lot less time and frustration doing the job.

But you want to know the best part?

I don't give a shit what kind of car you drive and you shouldn't give a shit what kind of car I want to drive. That makes both of us happy ;)

This......

I can see your point and am planning on 2 more. Can't say I won't own one. Maybe your that much older, smarter and more attractive than me! ;)

I am... but it doesn't make the babybus any less of a good solution for families.

so tomorrow i leave to go camping in Lake Geneva WI for the weekend. my wife's family reunion, and she has a rather large family. basically there is just a bunch of cousins and such setting up tents in her aunts big ass yard, most of the elders will be in the house.

she has some pretty cool cousins that like to consume large amounts of adult beverages like myself, and she has some annoying snobby aunts and uncles, who think im some red neck hood-billy that is driving some POS jeep up to their nice neighbor hood. needless to say the most important thing im packing is lots of vodka and beer and maybe some whiskey.

weather its kickin it with the cooler crowd, or getting dirty looks from the lames, ima need me some booze.

If it would fit my 44a I'd be all over it, but ARB doesn't show an application.

Brad has a beefy 44a diff cover sitting in a box at his house......

well so much for a vacation. i had a few days off and was going to go fishing and camping with the extended family...worked one day and fixed crap every other day. got half a day of working on the truck in there somewhere...ah well. i do have some more time coming up in august. now its off to st louis, then to nebraska for another county fair. god i hate country music

Unlikely that I will ever own another minivan. The one I had was great for college...road trips, etc.

I think that a fullsize van is where its at.

Until we have more than two kids (hopeful that its only two, but RedHeep proves sometimes things happen), everyone fits in a four door truck or suv.

I'm looking for a plastic rear Wrangler seat. I want to put one in the back of the popcan, going to redo part of the cage for having three or four people to go trail riding at KOH. Not sure where to start looking to get one.

the back seat out of a CJ would work also, holds 2 kiddos easily. They are readily buyable.

They make some racing seats like those. That's what I would like to find.

2 kiddos, 1 adult, 2 small adults...

My buddy had just one of those small racing buckets in the back of his buggy. Worked well, not so much for an adult though.

When do you guys think you'll take the little one in the popcan?

My kid went to the dunes at a month old, took it REAL easy. He has been on local two tracks and trails with us, sometimes getting a little hairy.

All car seats have those straps with clips. I put an eye hook through the floor in the cargo area to clip the top one too. And cinch the seatbelt throguh the seat really tight! He doesn't move at all.
