Yesterday, I test drove the 01 Windstar that my mom is thinking about buying. After about 40-50 miles and a couple hours, only one problem arose. There was a red liquid dripping. It ended up being the transmission pan bolts were loose. Now there is another van on that car lot for sale. It is a 2002 Montana, I am some what leary of those after the transmission on the previous van went bad. The old van did have a small slip from the first time I test drove it also, but I thought it was because it hadn't been driven in a while. The 02 Montana has 126k on it, leather seats, and power sliding doors. The only down side is that my moms old van fit six in the back (six small people), and this 02 only seats seven (middle row is two captains chairs, not three seats). The 01 Windstar with 85k on it is 4700, the 02 Montana with 126k is 3700. I think my moms friend is taking her around this weekend to look at vans also.
