Important

Dan, I would love to have corn looking like that right now...we thought about cutting for silage but it is not even worth that now. My early beans will hopefully make it worth cutting, the late beans are burnt up.

Cheese "good years, bad years" Man

I'm no farmer, but this tunnel of corn looks like we're doing okay up here.

You make a point!!

They are 5100s... First time buying a shock other than something that came from a locale auto-parts hut, so I didn't want to spend too much if I didn't like them...

Night manager (dick-head) walks up last night as I was working on the jeep and ask how much I spent on stuff for it. I said "Well there's $300 in shocks sitting there..."
He goes "No shit?!?! Is it really worth it??"
I ask "Whats your biggest, favorite hobby?"
"I like to golf," he says...
I say "Is it worth it?"

Idiots....

Yesterday, I test drove the 01 Windstar that my mom is thinking about buying. After about 40-50 miles and a couple hours, only one problem arose. There was a red liquid dripping. It ended up being the transmission pan bolts were loose. Now there is another van on that car lot for sale. It is a 2002 Montana, I am some what leary of those after the transmission on the previous van went bad. The old van did have a small slip from the first time I test drove it also, but I thought it was because it hadn't been driven in a while. The 02 Montana has 126k on it, leather seats, and power sliding doors. The only down side is that my moms old van fit six in the back (six small people), and this 02 only seats seven (middle row is two captains chairs, not three seats). The 01 Windstar with 85k on it is 4700, the 02 Montana with 126k is 3700. I think my moms friend is taking her around this weekend to look at vans also.

I wanted to make sure it gets up to operating temperature, stays there and doesn't over heat after so long. Since I am friends with the lot owner, he didn't care. It was probably closer to 60 miles. The only other problem I had was the steering wheel wasn't centered, it drove straight, but that is a small problem.

Those vans should be a dime a dozen, you should have the pick of the litter cause I doubt many people are in the market for one...

I just went to wal-mart and parked between a montana and a windstar...

The miles is why I this one stuck out. I haven't seen many 11 year old vehicles with under 90k (I only know of two as of now, this van and my dads 01 Ram with 90k).

Some of the Cherokees around here are low mileage units...

i drove a 93 astro van...it would toast all the aerostars i raced lol

i only liked it because it was all wheel drive, and it actually got around pretty well. we had it buried up to the tops of the wheel wells a couple of times, but thats only because of the street tires. i miss that thing...that 4.3 was a good little motor. close to the invincibility of the 4.0. one time my brother drove it for 30 minutes with almost no coolant in it. dad about had a heart attack, but it still ran after that. aaaah memories

Those AWD Astros were boss. As long as they didn't have those gaudy fiberglass running boards. I don't like the look and hate trying to put one on a lift. And yeah, those 4.3s are pretty good little engines. They made 190hp, got decent mileage (for what they were) and were tough. GM shouldn't have quit making them.

Kill the Windstar with fire. Our '01 had more money dumped into it in the first six months than my 20 year old cherokee did in 2 years. Coolant issues, front end issues, transmission replacement, ABS module the day after we took it home. Still pissed we traded my KJ in on it.
