Important

Just new this motor swap was going to easy for me. Come to find out I forgot to swap out the a/c bracket from the 91 to the 97 so I have to switch them out. Then when I was taking the belt back off I noticed something wrong. Can you spot the problem? :D

Belt is hitting pretty hard also.

Nope didn't miss a loop, forgot to swap out the a/c bracket for the 97 style. And you are correct, the belt is hitting the timing thingy. So I am just going to sawzall that bitch off and worry about timing later. That part can be swapped out, I just don't feel like doing it right now. I don't have access to a pulley for the balancer so it can stay on and I will cut that friggin thing off.
Good eye Brian. :D

I saw it... did the same thing on my 91 mj when I converted it to late style routing. You can simply unbolt the idler pulley, no need to swap the whole ac comp mount out, the mounting boss misses the belt by like half an inch. That timing indicator does need to come off though.

Did you swap the 96+ intake as well? I forget but I suspect it is different where the p/s pump or ps/pump bracket bolts on. I wasn't sure when I did mine so I just swapped it to make sure.

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Runs great and smooth. I just cut the tab off for the timing indicator, took off the pulley and all is good. I think I might be replacing the thermostat, wire in the electric fan with a toggle switch and all should be good for now.

Productive morning today.

Replaced Drivers side upper ball joint.
Replaced Front axle pinion seal.
Removed Front Drive shaft to be rebuilt and balanced this week.
Removed Drivers UCA and drilled out chassis side holes for proper sized bolt.
Removed Front Sway Bar, Permanently.
Temp Fixed Axle Side Track Bar mount... Don't know what to do about that yet...
Bed-lined Ford 8.8 Diff Cover.
Re-Bed-lined Rear Bumper.
Bed-Lined Sliders.

Now I get to go work my part-time job, then heading down town tonight to watch future bro-in-law perform at a bar...
