You can't make it to Chicago in two hours, esp from the west side of GB.
I make it to MKE in a shade under two from my parents place, and I sir, do not drive like a grandma.
Now do I either go to sleep after three 12 hour night shifts or go find beer since it's my weekend....

It takes me 5 hours to get home. The beginning of 294 marks the 2.5 hour mark. I was judging by the fact that he said he was 25minutes north of Chicago. If he's 25 minutes north of downtown Chicago that would be right around 2.5 hours to GB. If he's 25 minutes north of the Chicago burbs, that would put him about 2h 5m away from my place if he is near 94/43.
So, again, I will say my guesstamation was off, but not by too much. If it takes you 3 hours to get here from there, you drive slower than I do, and I'm a sensible driver. 3 hours gets me to Hinsdale (SW side of burbs.)
At any rate, this shouldn't have become this lengthy of a discussion considering I was only extending a 90% sarcastic invitation. 90% sarcastic because I figured it was too far, 10% serious if it wasn't.
Edit: I am a straight through driver. I do not stop if it's permitted. Usually, Meganne needs a piss break or the kid needs a diaper. So that slows us down some. But when I travel alone, I won't stop for a minimum of 5 hours, sometimes 6.
