Important

That chilli was amazing.
Thanks. I worked pretty hard getting the recipe just right. It took some time to get the balance of sweet and spice without taking away from the vegetables. Everything other than the tomatoes and beans is fresh. Normally I use a deer roast or grilled deer steak for the meat. I only had about 8oz of loin left and that wouldn't be enough, so I went with ground deer. A ground meat in chili is frowned upon by hardcore chili enthusiasts, but I don't mind.

I don't know what's wrong with you guys!! Guinness is amazing! Getting drunk on the stuff is even better than a normal beer. It's got a really nice body relaxation kinda drunk feeling. You can still get stupid drunk, but you typically get too un-wound and just want to go to sleep.

You shouldn't feel like a fan-boy for drinking what you would normally drink. You should just point out to the others how much of a fan-boy they are.

Those that drink Guinness, Smithwick's, Harp Lager and Jameson one time a year disappoint me.

And those of you that ate my chili at Winterfest...it had Guinness in it.

I almost always have a bottle of Jameson in the cabinet and buy Guinness more than once a year.

If you don't mind them being heavy and inflexible and having horrible traction, I think various companies sell almost-new (80-95% tread depth remaining) military surplus takeoff tires for extremely reasonable prices in that diameter range. I know they sell mil surplus 37" rubber for insane prices, last I saw it was like 80-100 bucks a tire for those. I got my 46s for 1350 shipped for 6 of them... warning... they are 235 pounds each, fit 20" rims, and I am pretty sure they are rated for nearly 10k pounds per tire, so I could probably run them on the MJ without even installing the valvestems and still not get any significant sidewall flex.

I don't call people out in bars anymore; because I did just what you said last year and it could have ended badly since they got all butt hurt about it.

That actually happened to me last night. We were standing out on the porch of this bar and some already drunk chick dropped her glass and broke it. So I jokingly said "kick her off the porch!" Not even loud enough to announce it to someone 5 steps away, but 4 steps away some snob of a girl heard me and told the guy standing with her. He began turning around to do something I can't imagine he would have continued doing after he saw the size comparison but she stopped him. So I went ahead and did the nice thing and announced that I was indeed kidding and sarcasm is my primary language. He was pretty calm about it after that. Never got anything other than dirty looks from the chick though. Like I give a damn.

Fairly certain she was one of those that are only Irish on 3/17 and thought it would "totally fun to like go out to the Irish bars downtown!" Snobs.

we should make a rule that you cannot have any more than 30 words in a post in this thread.

I rarely go to bars anymore...to drink anyways.

I prefer my garage.

Exactly how I feel when people go on and on for days about tow rigs, gas/diesel and trailers...

I'm pretty sure it's common practice for most people to skim this thread at some point or another.

My Badlands flag somehow got broken :( :( :(

I guess I have to go back next year now, for another flag, you see.

Never. I don't do those things.

I am just pretty sure shipping on the flagpole would be insane so I will have to go pick one up myself.

X2, why stand in a crowded bar over paying for drinking, paying for music, and dealing with jerks the whole time.

rather sit in my basement, buy i bottle of booze that's costs fraction of a night at the bar, listen to MY music, and hang with my buds

SAM'cost to much to get schawasted in a bar'SET

You want to turn the Important thread into a twitter feed Dan?

All depends on where you go, there are downtown bars here that are good for the entertainment value of people watching.

My usual haunt is about as cheap for me as drinking at home. I get to play music loud, play pool, have all of my friends over, not bother any neighbors, etc.

All that being said; I don't do it like I used to because I moved to a different place that's out of town a ways and in a different direction than the usual places.

I might be over my 30 words....
