Clicked the order button last night. Gotta call just a minute ago from their office for a clerical error. Got that straightened out and the guy said it should be here Friday. Awesome. Good price, fast shipping and, from what I understand, a quality part. I didn't know I could get all 3 in one deal!

I just ordered mine at lunch today after reading this.. JR has them on his YJ and he said they came in under a week when he ordered his.

I got a response last night, apparently they are waiting on my 8.25 cover to be made before they ship everything out. I forgot KOH was going on so hopefully it's out soon, it just happened that I ordered a non-stocked part.

I understand stuff happens and based on their reputation I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

I checked my order status and it was still processing...I am thinking my items are run of the mill items (rod ends, inserts, perches etc) and I hope he can get them out ASAP....but looking like next week for delivery :(

I have order a lot of items from them and had great experiences but it seems to always take over a week to get my stuff...

Nothing like waiting to the last minute to complete something on my rig for WF....as always.

Or...

was it macgyvr because he had spares...

mac 'not quite a napa superstore' gyvr

Or . . .

Was it because you didn't have spares and I had to make a full throttle run up a muddy hill to go get a tie rod that was too short from the campground?

So really there were two lessons:

1. Don't build your steering with rod ends that nobody else uses and then don't check them for 4 or 5 years and forget to bring a spare.

2. Learn how macgyver packs his entire garage in that little tote on the back of his heep.

:D

Yeah I had the rod ends on board...but tube with threaded ends was back at the campground...

I just rented an excavator for this weekend...

mac 'should be FUN!' gyvr

they are sweet man, you will be like a little kid in a sandbox...but not so little...and not a sand box...but you get the picture. I assume you are talking a mini excavator, not a full size unit?

6000lb, with a 24 inch bucket.

something like this I believe...at least that's what they told me on the phone.

I get to put 8 hours on it...and have it from Friday afternoon til monday morning.

You think it will remove a decent size tree stump?

mac 'lot to do in a short time...yard work in Feb!' gyvr

Call the cops if you find a body...er...

My local diesel mecanic has done all teh work on the truck since it was bought new

Good God! I hope it is not the same clown that was trying to dtart your truck last winter!

I told him to press the yellow lever to open the fuel bowl, if fuel runs out it is not gelled.
I hear in the back ground, "How did anti-freeze get into the fuel filter?"
I told Tyler that on road fuel is yellow/green. I would hope a diesel mechanic would have known that.

mac, like REV said, make sure you call the utilities fourst b/c one screw up and you can kiss that new trailer good bye...or worse! That unit is OK for hobby work, but to be honest with ya it will take a little time to get the job done...but with 8 hours on lease you shoud be fine. Just make sure that you start digging around the stump from all sides and snap the roots, if some are too big to snap, use a chainsaw. With an excavator that small you can actually dig your way under the stump and you will eventually get it out. Remember that a trees roots go out as far as it is tall......but if you snap them up close you have eliminated that anchor point. Wish I lived closer to Club R, I would be over with my equipment to lend a hand.....and drink :D Gie me a ring if ya need any crazy ideas..I have dug up thousands of trees across these farms.

that dipshit was the local "repair" guy/welder/fire fighter/auctioneer :D

It is bad to say that for years I did not know that deisel came in any color then red :nono:

This mechanic is the one that does all my tractor work as well as the big trucks for the farms. He knows his shit. He is also the one that just put GP's in the PSD for $120 labor and right at 3 hours...he is a good wrench to have around.

I will hopefully have pics this evening. It still has the freezer box on it but will be off soon enough.

Call the underground locating service. I don't care if you think there is nothing there....call them.

Thank you for the reminder. When I put the fence in four years ago I had everything marked. The only thing on that side of the house is the old phone line...which doesn't work anymore.

I also have a buddy coming over to help that is well versed in using this type of machinery. He will be doing most of the work.

If we can get the stump, it will save me $$ on renting a stump grinder.

I need to be ready for gravel by next week.

In a residential area, always call the utilities locating server if you're going down more than a couple of inches. Always, always, always.

sometimes I call the locating services when i hope to go down more then a few inches :D

Nothing has been new for me in the last four years...
