I have my base loaded whip mounted parallel with the radio antenna on the driver side. I've had a branch clip the whip about five inches up from the coil and it did great.

I'd definitely like to make the road trip to you Jeff but unfortunately for you I have welding capabilities that are a fair bit closer than you. Basically I'm seeing if you guys think it would be better to put a new one in there or straighten the old one as best as possible.

I will have to drink beer with you again sometime. I'll raise a KBC this weekend as it is Winter Carnival; all-nighter is tomorrow. Though even Hoton is suffering from a bad winter, so it'll be more just of a "Carnival".
 
N/P. I haven't looked at the campus cams, but I'll bet statues are gonna be small or nonexistent this year.
 
I have had mixed luck w/ Ballistic, and with the time constraints of WF rapidly approaching I was not about to gamble on their customer service being "revamped" yet again to just wait for 8-37 weeks for a potentional delivery and just as many excuses. I have ordered quite a bit of stuff from Dan at Ruff Stuff in the past, so I am betting it will be next week sometime when they get back before i get my stuff...thus pinching my time frame even more....it just would not be WF if I was not down to the wire with some new hairbrained project....
 
I ordered new rod ends from Dan for the steering last tuesday and they showed up on saturday in the mailbox.

I think someone is manning the store.

Dan has never failed to contact me after I emailed or called him same day. You should pick up the phone, it's always easier to get someone at his shop on the phone.

All the talk about diff covers reminded me I need to order mine. Does anybody know how quick shipping is for Solid covers?

tha is good news b/c you are a hell of a lot farther away then I am..so there is hope I will be burning in some new mounts this weekend. :thumbup:

ok getting back into my t case...i got all the bolts off and was under the impression that is would come right off...is there something else im missing?

ehhhh.

I have a chainsaw, enough food and water to last me a week or two, 4 jeeps with full gas tanks, the knowhow to put together a few shotguns for nearly free if I need to, and a like minded neighbor who owns a few real guns. Oh, and enough hard liquor to keep me going for a long time.

I've already survived long power outages, a house with no heat in the middle of the winter, a tornado, an earthquake, a hurricane, and a freak snowstorm this year.

If the world ends I'll be fine. I don't need to watch a bunch of loonies preparing for mayan doom.
