Important

Ya, I know that I'm not supposed to hook a sump pump to the city sewer. But it's so backwater around here... our storm sewers go into the sanitary sewer now. We are paying a huge flippin' surcharge right now to build a whole new sewer set-up for town, so I don't really feel too badly getting a few extra gallons of water in the sewer.

I guess I will have to break down and cut a hole in the floor. We had a couple of shipping containers show up today loaded with crap from some company we bought out at work. I saw a gas powered chop saw in one of the crates, that ought to shave down the breaking time a bit.

There's a major concern with a manual transfer switch. Make damned sure that it's thrown BEFORE you connect the genset. The last thing that you want to do is to shoot juice down the line and zap a line worker.

Most manual Xfer switches are double pole double throw and only can go one way or the other. Now, there is a way to do it with out a DPDT switch, but I ain't sayin' how....

wire the generator directly to the box...works but not the correct way at all...

mac 'yikes' gyvr

Back to work tonight after being off for 10 days...

I don't know what's worse, going back to work, or shaving...

mac 'bye bye beard' gyvr

The junk had to go to the shop. I have the know how and resources, but not the time. Essentially a whole new exhaust, bearings, and o2's are now done. Was a pretty penny but now I figure I'm good to 300k miles :D

Turning the old header into some form of wall art. Not sure how though.

I should get 30 mpg now.

Finnished packing up for the trip. Will be at Apple Valley Farms with the rest of Max-Bilt and the Eau Claire offroaders from Friday till Sunday. Hopefully I'll convince the fiance to get out and take some pictures.... This is her first wheeling trip so I hope it goes well...

I hear yah. I seen the left overs of the generator when it was not done in the right sequence. IE Service was turned back on when the generator was still hooked up and running. :explosion

at 4:30 this mroning I could not sleep so I decided to get up and start the day....and put Cortizone10 on my toothbrush instead of toothpaste....that is not a good taste. Camille will be getting a minor lecture on putting away medicine in its right place when I see her this evening. :banghead:

Is it just me or does this sound yummy.

The Motor Oil – Combining some of the strongest-tasting forms of alcohol available into a slurry that ends up looking as thick and poisonous as real motor oil definitely falls under the “seemed like a good idea at the time” category. Jagermeister, peppermint schnapps, cinnamon schnapps and coconut rum go together about as well as the GOP and Democrats these days. And like Congress, the resulting mix is more than a little nauseating. The spice and alcohol burn of the Jagermeister and schnapps are throat searing and ensure the drinker won't taste another thing the rest of the night. The coconut rum adds a touch of sugar that makes it seem like you're drinking literally sweet crude.
-.5 oz. Jagermeister
-.5 oz. peppermint schnapps
-.5 oz cinnamon schnapps
-.5 oz. coconut rum
Mix all the ingredients in a lowball glass or tumbler and drink it up. Fast or slow, the next day will likely be one of the worst of your life.

probably would get this taste of Cortizone 10 out of my mouth. If I was not already at work I would be trying it about now.

Sounds fun but i would substitute the jegermister for whiskey, then drop the coconut rum, then switch the cinnamon schnapps for whiskey, and the peppermint schnapps i would swap out for i don't know something like whiskey

then it would be yummy :D

ever had a jack frost?

jack/peppermint schnapps, makes for a nice winter shot

Thank god this has 4 wheel suspension, i couldn't imagine a rigid Honda prelude :D

ust look at all the ones that were "lowered" with a torch and you'll get an idea of what a rigid suspension would feel like.

I like to call those ones hilbilly ricers.

and since we're on the subject of generators, does anyone have a hookup wit ha friendly Onan generator place that could provide me with some wiring diagrams. I have an Onan 4CCK (old green) that's got some wiring damage and needs new brushes. I tried smoestak a while back and got zilch.
