x2. A good amount of our business at the shop comes from people angry with dishonest shops that try to sell unnecessary work.

Yeah that's what we used to be when we had the manager that hired me. I'm on my third manager, soon to be 4th service writer, lost 2 techs (only had 5 to start with), and I've passive aggressively had my job threatened by the GM, new service manager, and now Mazda's zone rep.
The service writer that is leaving friday has been there a month and has missed at least a day and a half every week with the majority of the weeks it's been 3+ days gone. This has taken my daily tickets written to 30-45 a day rather than the 20 or so it should be. I've gotten beat to piss on my CSI scores and have fallen to the lowest in the zone indirectly because of the increased work load and being short on techs.
And then the service manager wanting me to sell something unneeded is the last straw. I can put up with a lot but dishonesty isn't something I sell. I'm like a good dog you can beat me and I'll still meet you at the door. But I have my limits.
Anybody know of any good service advisor jobs out there?
