<chuckle> Not in this environment. SCSI LVD hot swap. No ATA, IDE, or SATA in my world, it's all SCSI (legacy servers only,) SAS or Fibre Channel for connectivity. The new storage systems (200+ terabytes of available storage,) has both traditional rotating mag media as well as some SSD for the high transaction environments.
The old storage system had 96gb of cache RAM in front of it. Not sure what the new systems have, I suspect it's probably 4 times as much or more.
I'll go with 2.1 GB 10K RPM SCSI 160 drive for $200 Alex.
