I have. I got 23 mpg out of my 94 when it was bone stock, tooling across the Upper Peninsula at 60 mph. Commuting in Chicago suburban traffic, it got somewhere around 18-19.
 
ordered a new brake assembly for my winch today. also bought a wireless winch controller, seeing how I use my winch so much. :D

now to buy a new axle shaft and joints.

What u-joints do you guys like? CTM, Yukon super joints, or...
 
I managed 19.2 on the way to Harlan, according to my scan guage and 16.5 towing my camper to WF. I have seen 20.0 average one time but I had a tail wind. This was calibrated to as close as i could get it so its not 100% accurate. Its a little off now that i went bigger on tires too.
 
i use a 1/4 tank a day to go to work and back,thats all i know

same thing with the chitty little neon i got out of. it just cost less to fill it up

i imagine when i get a pick up truck it will be 1/4 tank a day just more money at the pump

no matter what ya gotta be at the pump every couple days

just bought the Yukon joints. $400/pr. ouch. better than the CTM's at $500/pr.

When Mac says Lie-o-meter he is talking about the readout in your vehicle! A calculator while standing at the pump, preferably the same pump as last time, is the only way for us common folk to get a close reading.

Some of you are showing some great numbers. It would be nice to know some details. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter choice, tire make and size, etc...

Speedo has been accurate on 4 of those neighborhood watch things and the 60 seconds test.
 
On a pure highway trip, I get about 20mpg. I am stock with 235's. In town I get 16. I usually don't try to gun it too much and 95% of the time get gas at the same station.

Re the mileage. 31's. 3.55's and an AX-15 on the stock MJ suspension got me better than 20 pretty regularly on the highway.

Loaded for the trip to flatnasty that one year Winterfest wan't in Attica I averaged 24 on the highway.
 
Made an offer on an International 4900 Crew cab this morning. It was a low offer, but we will see what happens....if i dont get it, no big deal, I have made it this far without one. If I get it I am gonna strip of the rear dump box and put a flat bed w/ hidden GN hitch in it. DT466, auto, and rides like a lumber wagon.

I have talked to Cardboard and he is gonna drag it up here for me. I will have it in the next couple days. The motor is knocking so I am gonna save it the 30 mile drive and have the rod bearings replaced to last until i can find a 3.4 or bigger to swap into it! I also talked him down since he's been playing games with me I figured it was my turn! :D

That rig is one I followed the build on for a while. Basically the same idea of what I am wanting. I offered about half of what he is asking, so I am wanting to stay on the cheap side. I can scrap the bed for a few hundo was well at the cuent prices. I am doubtful the guy will accept my offer, but I threw it out there for him to decide....I wont go a dollar higher either.

I know that the guy selling it now is not the guy that built it, and the guy that built it was asking 6500 in the for sale thread.......

so who knows what the guy selling it now actually paid for it, but that gives you an idea how much he's into it for anyway.
 
I should have snagged it when the original builder had it listed. I offered $3900 and hoped to have it done for under $5000 (the original asking price). I have access to a flat bed and can do most the fab work myself. I called him after lunch to check on my offer and he said "still thinkin about it"...so I am not 100% out of the game yet.
