Important

I got a question, does the seat cracking on the side a normal thing? Mine is doing, seen one that was in the for sale thread doing it. I think I am going to put gaffers tape on mine (removes easy without leaving residue.

Yup. Wouldn't even bother to tape it. In hot weather, tape adhesive gets everywhere.

I used to drive a fuel truck and some braniac thought it was an awsome idea to cover the cracks on the seat in the MAC with duct tape. The Vinyl was bad enough in shorts, but sometimes it was hard to get out of the truck BC I was stuck to the seat ;)

tape is a mess. Stitch it up or get a seat cover.

Save the planet; have your children spayed and neutered. :)

I wish it would quit raining until I can find the leak in the cargo area. The wet sock smell is getting really old; time to ditch the carpet in the back and lay down some bedliner, I think.

I got the bill for the new trans today....
$2714.50!!!!

Includes a new starter, 'caused the guy twisted the stud off the old one.

New T.C., all new innards and all the up dates, plus a 24 month unlimited mile warranty.

Wait, you had to pay for the starter even though the guy installed the trans messed it up?

Do you expect the shop to pay because YOUR chit is all rusted & seized up? HMmmmmmm. Stay the fock out of my shop. Is it our fault your steel brake lines rust thru also?

the only thing that means to me is it's time to cash in on the aluminum cans in the basement.

double normal rate on earth day. Thanks for the fuel money hippies, my big diesel motor appreciates it!

Nothing wrong with Earth Day. As folks who enjoy the Outdoors, you'd think there would be a bit more support here for some of these "Hippy" ideas.

I guess I'm old enough to remember what the Good O'l days were like when an Industry could pollute to their hearts content without any regulation, we had no idea what Asbestos would do to us in 30 years, city buses would take off in a cloud of smoke, and Lake Erie litterally would start on fire. I would bet your "big diesel motor"(sic) gets better gas mileage and pollutes less than a 1975 Chevy Pickup.

Thanks for recycling! Now if there would be less packaging to throw away with each product, there would be even less waste.

My truck got the bs deleted...

then wouldn't start...

mac 'went from 11mpg to 16.5mpg on the lie-o-meter' gyvr

Reading about tornados in the St. Louis area....

Hopefully all the members there are okay. Anyone hear from the folks down there??

Well, Mac, I'm going to have to take back my comment in the EarthDay post about these new trucks getting better Milage than a 1975 Chevy Pickup. I ass-u-me'd that the EPA figures of 20mpg Hwy were to be believed.

You would have to break 17mpg to beat the 16mpg of my old 351-EFI powered Bronco with a 5K race car and trailer combo behind it at the Gas Pump.

Zuki "Why do people buy gas guzzlers then complain about their milage?" Ron

My dads Stock 06 CTD 2500 gets 21mpg on the highway. The only thing he has done was go from conventional oil to synthetic.

we've always recycled. I didn't need a special day to get involved. I've been outdoors my whole life, I've picked up trash along the sides of roads.
Earth Day is a joke. It makes people feel good about themselves for one day, and then they go back to wasteful ways the rest of the year.

Lawn Cher and fam were missed by a few miles, they are OK.

Rev

I just called when I turned on the TV and saw the airport. Good that they're OK.

Babysteps... Think of it this way, it's one more day they thought about their wasteful ways than they thought about it before :D It's like Arbor Day. It's a day folks go out and plant trees. The rest of the time we use paper... like it grows on trees... which it does... but that's not the point.

Oil certainly does make a difference. The higher the weight, the more windage loss. That's why running more than 10W30 in your Jeep is a waste of money.
