Meganne, Patrick and I left Attica around 10:30 or so. We stopped off in Lafayette for some lunch and headed to drop Patrick off in Bremen. It was there that Meganne noticed a small problem. She called her mom, who called the doc, who called Meganne back and said that we needed to be headed home asap. About 10 minutes later, the doc called back saying that it was a possibility she was going into pre-term labor and we needed to get to an ER. We were on 331 north of Bremen at the time and I kept on up to the new St. Joseph med center doing 50 when I could. Got into the ER and they got her whisped up to OBGYN in no time.
They ran a few tests and everything was fine with Harrison. His heartbeat was normal and he didn't seem distressed. It turns out that Meganne was severely dehydrated and cramping causing the illusion of contractions. They fed her an IV of fluids and sent us on our way. We got home around 11:30 local and went to bed as soon as we could.
After a scare like that, I was worn out. Other than that, everything went well. Except for the state trooper that followed me for a while when we were south of GB...We were wondering if he was a fellow enthusiast since he followed behind, aside and peeked at the front for a minute...Dunno. Interesting to say the least.
