Important

Got less that 2hrs of sleep last night... Went offroading for 7hrs yesterday, it was a blast, had a good time, but am really sore.

I did that cause I needed to get my mind off my Benchmark 2 interview (school determines if I'm ready for student teaching) tomorrow at 9:00am. Was in the bathroom several times last night cause I'm so nauseated... Can't wait to get through this and get to WinterFest and then Spring break...

I was looking at the pictures and the specs on the side. Says Automatic.....

So does it have 4wd or not? It says no transfer case, but I see a lever for one. What is the history on this Jeep (like what you did to it)?

Brendan explained it the best (this was a while back):

Ok fine I'll spill.

I bought a 97 2 door XJ sport with a 5-speed transmission. Dealer wanted $1,900 for it. I went out and took it for a test drive. It drove really nice and handled well. I went to shift into 4wd and the shifter didn't do anything, the linkage must have been diconnected. No big deal I can hook that up when I get home. The salesman says I have to be stopped to engage it in 4wd which is obviously wrong. Didn't even think a thing about it. I look under it, keep in mind its 3* outside and snow on the ground. Has a D30/D35. We settle on a price. $1,450 for the jeep, $1,700 out the door CASH.

I get it home and try to take some pics. I get on the trailer and look under it. There is no effin' transfer case or front DS!!! You'd think after being around jeeps for 6 years and owning two of them I would take the time to ensure it had a TC. Now I gotta see if the dealer will a) take it back or b) give me some of my cash back so I can buy a TC and front DS

bm 'i am a moron' yohn

He lawyered up and eventually the dealership took it back.

Where'd you go, anywhere special?

(asking as a prior/current resident of the area, not stalker-ish)

I would like to know as well, but in an entirely creepy stalker way. :anon:
It was the Five Guys in Green Bay/Ashwaubenon on Onieda.

I wouldn't brag, us normal working folk hate your candy a$$ gov. workers.

Who the hell is this guy? On the board for 5 years, 2000+ posts and I don't recognize the name. I know I'm relatively new in comparison, but I'm fairly active...

I'm a figment of your imagination, in fact you are the only one that can see my posts.

10 pages after not logging on for 6 days...

5200 miles after 6 days in the truck and 6 days on the lake bed...i'm whooped...

But I'm home!

Now to gear up for winterfest...oh and a wedding :)

Well it looks like everyone is going back to the 7.3s now, hah! The 6.0s got a bad rap early on but an 06-08 will not have the problems that the early ones had. They make good power for their size, have a 5-speed trans (auto), and seem to be a little nicer all around than the 7.3s (my 7.3 isn't a Lariat though). Plus coil sprung front axle. I'd say it's a nice way to fly if you can find one for a decent price. When I was looking I didn't see many cheap ones.

ARP headstuds, EGR delete and an oil cooler upgrade and the 6.0 is gonna run hard and for a long time...

Well, as much as I hate to eat crow, I will do it publically since I aired my dislike publically. Today was actually a really enjoyable day at the sis in laws. We brought some thick cut prok chops down w/ us and grilled them, my MIL brought 2 cakes and we actually had an enjoyable time...and my SIL actually REMEMBERED my b-day thos time. She gave me a $25 iTunes gift card, and I dig that. It is weird that my wife and I share the same birthday Feb 19th (different years). my sis and brother in laws both share a same day birthday Feb 15th (different years) and my nieces birthday falls 2 days in between on Feb 17th. So, 5 birthdays in 5 days..at least it is easy to remember! :D

Cheese "have to give some people a second chance" Man

My family has deaths in the family in Feb. So if we all live past the end of the month our chances of surviving the year are really good...my 87 year old Grandpa fell last week and bruised his hip...

Glad it worked out Tyler, Had a g/f once whose b-day was Feb 14th. She thought I had a Donald Trump bank account. I say if I don't get paid for the day off, than it ain't no focking holiday.

I get my birthday as a holiday...I can take it off anytime throughout the year.

We shut down 3 days a year. Turkey day, Cmas day & New years day.

Fore 'more reliable than the post office' Wheeler

We don't close. I make double time and a half or triple time plus the day back for working holidays...

I am supposed to get all the federal holidays, if the aircraft cooperate.

But I'd trade all of them for a regular work week. I average 65 hours a week over 5 days.

4 on, 2 off...8.5 hours shifts...my days off rotate every week. Plus I work a min of 12 hours of part time every week...some times 20+ hours of part time...

Watcha buildin? Stripper pole for your trailer would be good.

You have no idea what I accidently brought back from Scooby's house today...well...you may now :)

Back to reality Wednesday...thankfully only for two weeks then I'll take some more days off for Winterfest :moon:

We finished 33rd at KOH! Very respectable in my book!

Why when you have your vehicle for sale and listed at a certain price do people call and ask what your bottom dollar is? example: I have it listed for $20,000 but if you call and ask what my bottom dollar is I will reveal that I would actually take $12,000 for it?

Doesn't make any sense, people get all pissy when they ask you your bottom dollar and you tell them it's what you're asking for it.

I actually jack with people like that and give them a higher price when they try to haggle me over the phone.

them: "your ad says your asking $20,000.....whats your bottom dollar?"
me: "$32,363 plus a documentation fee of $47 and 104 cents."

the 104 cents gets them everytime!

I'm seriously going to have to do that the next time someone calls or texts me. They always ask me to tell them about the truck (usually via text) when everything I am saying is on the ad that they saw. Then they ask what my bottom dollar is, i tell them the listing price and then they say ok thanks, I wasn't looking to spend that much. Well then why the hell did you call/text in the first place??

We have a name for people like that, and it is "tire kickers". Can't stand that kind of crap.

Once people start trying to jack me around and lower an already reasonable price by giving me the "what if I only want this part" treatment I usually just stop bothering... I prefer to stick what I know is a reasonable to very reasonable price on my stuff and wait for someone to buy it or offer me a trade that I like the sound of.

I'll tell you why.

this is listed on CL, the price is $700. I asked what their bottom dollar is and they said $500. I said how bout $350 and they said okay.

going to pick it up this morn.
