Same here, & but if my boss had his way we would be open.

The stupidest day we are open is black Friday. No one is gonna get their car fixxed, when all they are worrried about is the latest, greatest electronic widgit, t.v, or Elmo on sale @ Wallmart.

I get six holidays at work. I can either get the day off paid with no vacation time used or get 2.5x pay to work it......guess what I choose. We don't shut down for anything as news doesn't stop (but it sure does slow down).

The six days are.

Memorial day
Labor Day
4th of July
Thanksgiving and day after
Christmas
New Years day

I guess technically I get seven. I used to get 13, but the company sold off all their tv stations to raise the stock price. It then plummeted and it is around a dollar a share.

But I'd trade all of them for a regular work week. I average 65 hours a week over 5 days.
