Snow, not worried. Ice, really worried. The last time we had ice like they're forecasting (88, 89?), things got pretty ugly here. Yeah, 10" of snow would paralyze us temporarily, but no power or water for a week or two would really cause some havoc.

we got another 3" on the ground last night. Total of over a foot. They upgraded the 'winter advisory' to a 'blizzard warning' for tonight. 10 to 14 inches of blowing snow. blowing snow means the roads will become icy and the build up could be measured in feet. gonna be fun.

It was sleeting (freezing rain? what's the difference?) last night for the most part, we got maybe a few inches. I figured it would be real slick this morning but 2wd got me into town without any problems. Of course that doesn't make anyone else drive any better and it took me longer to get outside of city limits last night than it usually does to get all the way home. We'll see what happens today.

I ran 60 down the highway and 40 through town today, from what pmain says we got more on the way so the ride home may prove treacherous. Putting cardboard over my windshield was brilliant though! See, I smart sometimes!
