6 ton jackstands @ TSC, $20 a piece. I picked some up yesterday for the axle swap.

What axles are you swapping in Nate? I'm sure you've said but I don't remember! :D

Leaving for Milwaukee here in a few hours. Light snow falling, shouldn't be a problem. Then I'm checking out for the week, vacation time for this guy!

Hoping for lots more snow over the week so I can bust out the snowmobile.

The axles from Redheep's 91.

4.56's>3.73s

I'm halfway through the front. I got someone to come look at the Aspire in a few, so I stopped at a good spot and waiting for a minute.

Ah nice, should help you out with power!

Bear, Packer NFC title game!
Whodathunkit!

Should be a good game, given the history and that it's the 3rd time they've played this season.

Aspire is gone, guy just drove off in it. The Jeep fund is flush again. Time to order stuff from Ruffstuff.

And they still need to pay four guys in two trucks to sit along the road for five hours at a time.

That reminds me, today I saw two state snow plows, following each other, one after the other, plowing a highway that already had dry pavement...on a Saturday no less!
I am glad my income taxes are going up 70% to pay for that.

They don't plow the back streets of Madison worth a crap. So to my surprise I see a sander with a plow in it making the rounds spreading sand like crazy, with his plow up and 2" of snow/slush mix on the street.

It don't have to make sense, it just has to cost us money ;)

sooooo, I just could not leave Goldie alone, so today I pulled her back in the shop and added back in one of the main leaves that I removed last year beofre WF. While under there I thought "man I hate those stock lower shock mounts", so I cut them off and started fabbing up a new set that will not be rock anchors.

On another positive note, I cut the plug off the block heter on the PSD and tested the bare wires w/ a voltage meter, it was the plug that was bad this whole time and the block heater was never working, so I installed a new plug and let it sit about an hour..and wa-la it fired up and ran great all afternoon. The real test will be tomorrow mornng after sitting out all night in 10 degree temps plugged in....we will see.

I am just glad you got the damn thing running. You were kind of off to a rough start with it (or a no-start, I guess). I've been relying on being able to park it inside where it's 35* or so, till I can change the glow plugs. How much is your shop charging you to change yours?

I do have to swear by the Rotella Syn 5w40. My truck sat outside for a whole day this weekend, and when I started it at 15* it sounded happy and idled great. Usually I get violent shaking at anything under 30*.

this is a local diesel shop that quoted me that price and it is with Bosch glow plugs. @ 4 hours labor and new plugs. He said he has done tons of them and only charges what time it takes him, not the BS that comes off the dealers labor books.

Tyler, just go buy a new 2011 silverado HD, & call it done. Warranty is worth it.

I just bought a psd this past summer as of now i have not had to plug it in. I know it will make it start better blablabla. I guess i am spoiled i drove a ctd for 5 years and never 1 time needed to plug it in and it started every time I asked it to. The dealer i bought it from kept telling me how much better the ford was than my old dodge finally after i bought it i told him when if and when it doesn't start I was going to drive it threw his front door.. lol the dealer is my best friend sense we were like 8 years old .

I forgot to plug mine in last night and this morning the glow plug relay didn't energize. The ol' 6.5 still started and ran fine after ~30 seconds of rough idle.
