I have mine running through the radiator as well. I haven't had a problem with over heating the tranny either. I did however over-heat once or twice without it though

Fat guy=40 mpg
Skinny guy=43 mpg
I drive 53 miles one way to wk. Most of which is @ 65 to 80 mph. It doesn't like those speeds. Many times I'll only get 35.

Currently have a B&M 70268 ahead of the in-rad cooler. No obvious issues aside from the developing leak, but I have no idea of the temps. Guess I need to get a gauge and see where I'm at before I worry about anything else.

I have found best economy somewhere between 57-60 MPH.
Myt commute is 19 miles one way, mostly 2 lane road, with a few towns (35MPH) sprinkled in.
I do enjoy crashing the box at the redline though. If you add a piece of pipe welded to the bottom of the shifter and use a piece of fuel hose as a rubber bushing (the shifter bushings are impossible to get) Then you get a nice reduction in slop and throw in the shifter. I think it was 3/4"ID pipe. I forget.

Dad and I just test drove a 2011 Grand Cherokee with the Hemi. Man does that thing have some balls! We also looked at a Sequoia (which he has the 03 flavor now), Nissan Pathfinder, Xterra, and Armada. For the price of the GC (about $37,000) the Jeep had way more bells and whistles compared to the others (heated seats, DVD/CD/MP3, Bluetooth, much larger sunroof, keyless entry/start, back up camera, etc) it was comparable to my mom's 09 Infiniti G37s in creature comforts, and the interior was phenomenal compared to the competition.

I ran the generator to keep the house running for about 3 hours today after storms rolled through...

Been looking for a shop for a while, since the house garage seems to be getting smaller and smaller. And oddly enough, my 1/4 acre lot doesn't have enough space to build a pole barn in the back yard. Found a place near downtown, though. 2000 sqft, $400/mo. Neal and I have been wanting to get a shop and split the rent for a while, so $200/mo each seems decent for a place to drink beer and work on vehicles.
It needs a little work, namely some better lighting (inside and outside), maybe some better doors/locks, and moving or tossing some of the landlord's crap sitting inside. The guy seemed agreeable to it; this weekend I'll take a closer look and see if the guy will cut me a break on the price to help him get it cleaned up.

My point was "buy american" is a joke. Everything is imported to this country.

We are already discussing that... the big decision is whether the kegerator gets moved out there. If it does, then we are definitely getting some furniture too. Really I would like to sell my house and move to something with a pole barn, or at least some acreage so I can put up a building. But realistically I'd be a year out from switching houses, so in the mean time this is a place to store some crap and work on some longer term projects (like the Jeep). The place has 220v service and judging from the breaker panel size it's at least 200amps, so we'd actually have decent air compression and welding capability out there.
