Wait... so you have a boat? And then you also have a house boat?
Farming is rough huh?![]()
He's got a $20,000 hat too!

come on Mike, dont sell me short....it is closer to a $75,000 hat this year since I had to replant some corn acres
and Brad, the house boat is a multiple owner deal. "The Farm" owns it (meaning my father in law and my brother in law as well) and it is no show piece, but it gets the job done and is a lot more relaxing then the ski boat was...and I can take a dump anytime I want while we are out partying on the water![]()
Made a day trip to the Badlands today. Passenger side LCA mount on the Jeep finally let loose, sheared off one side so it's basically undriveable until I figure out my next move. Considering everything from mild (weld on a new mount) to wild (axle swap?). My roommate snapped a D44 shaft on his Bronco. Guess 31s are too much for it too. And Neal has either a bad lifter tick in his XJ, or given the lack of oil pressure probably a rod knock in the bottom end. Pretty good day overall!
I saw a group of 4x4s headed out to the badlands today. I was out in west point at a buddies house and we were getting ready to pull out onto 25 when a whitish jeep xj on a trailer when by with super swampers on it, being followed by a HUGE Ford F-150 and 2 older chevy's, and then we passed a yellow jeep on a trailer that I think I have seen some pics of on here (it was grand cherokee variety). :worship:
Small crowd at the Badlands today, we saw those guys in the parking lot. White XJ had the rear quarters painted black, right? And the F-150 was a newer body style? It looked pretty sharp but personally I don't think I'd want one up that high... looked like he had about 2" of travel before his tires would destroy his fenders.
Was that yellow Grand being pulled by a gold F-250, swerving all over the place like it needs an alignment real bad? If so that was me.I would have posted up on here about going but we basically woke up this morning and decided to go. Last minute decision, that's usually how I .
We also had a dark blue XJ and a green Bronco, were you one of the guys that went around us when we were headed out there? Sorry but I try to take it slow so my buddies who aren't towing can keep up!
I agree on the F-150 man that was ridiculous but to each his own. I didn't catch the tow rig of the yellow Grand Cherokee but I think the rear quarter corners were missing? Yes the white cherokee had black rear quarters. We were actually heading out of West Point on 25 when we passed the yellow one. We had just gotten around that curve right before you get to west point when we passed the yellow one.
May be headed there in a few weeks brad! Weld the LCA mount back up and get the X or the XJ ready too! May have a WJ and TJ along with a bike(my roommate since his ZJ isn't in shape for 2 hours on the interstate) and his GF on her YFZ450.

I will be in Ft. Wayne for my cousins wedding this coming weekend so its a no-go this weekend. Got a buddy coming from St. Louis to visit so I want to take him wheeling when he comes. Should be a good time if they come.Got some LCA brackets coming from Currie, will be tacking them and hopefully getting an experienced welder to burn them in (or maybe trying it myself... eek). Neal should have a rear bumper for his X soon, then he can get inspected by the BMV, get a rebuilt title, etc. and get back out there.
Most likely I'll be out of town this coming weekend but definitely up for a run after that. All makes and models welcome, got a couple couches here if anyone wants a place to crash.

Make sure to check the flywheel, I thought my noise was a lifter or a cracked piston skirt. Guess what it was. JIM.
