Important

Someone stole my floor jack off my front porch. I have a feeling that it was the newly douche-bag tenant upstairs or one of his many followers. This is the first time anything has come up missing in the three years I've been here.

Gotta love thieves! That sucks Jason, Sorry to hear that!

The funny thing is that there was a set jack stands and a 100ft extension cord right next to it! Bastards.

Huh, wonder how much meth they got for your floor jack? :D

Not much really, but I guess $10 bucks is $10 bucks though. I would go upstairs and say something to him about it, but I've been told I can come off like an asshole and I don't feel like being thrown down a flight of stairs. :nono: I'll wait until he comes to my level. :spin1:

Hahaha! Don't need to go to prison for killing someone!

More importantly is he bringing it next weekend?

Doubtful. So much to do, if we can get it out of the garage and I have time to work on my ZJ before Dirty Turtle I'll be happy. He paid $350 for it. I was going to buy it as a beater rig but ended up letting him get it as a project for us and our friend to work on. It might be build thread worthy, he's already talking about going RED so maybe this will get him more involved around here. :D

Now that we've torn into it we see it needs some mechanical work so we'll be re-doing brakes, new track bar and maybe a water pump. We have some pretty thrifty ideas for getting it lifted, this will be the budget built rig while we pour (or "poor") money into our other vehicles.

Gettin' jealous?

I like this fire fighting then, especially when someone sets up a prescribed burn and then feeds the squad afterward. We burnt out 20 acres of prairie yesterday, and the land owner fed us very well.

So we're watching "Graveyard Shift," 'cause she likes those old cheesedick horror flicks.

Warwick, the foreman, has that big, bad, black Cadillac like I've been wanting for years.

So I say (for about the ten-thousandth time) "Man, eventually I'm gonna get me a caddy like that..."

She answers, "No way. You don't need it, and we don't have room. You gotta get rid of something before you go dragging anything else home."

What else could I say... "Well, I guess if I got rid of YOU, I could drag home anything I wanted, huh?"

:looser:

So last week I took the deck off the mower to sharpen the blades, started cutting the grass and burned the belt up right when finishing up. I thought maybe I had it tensioned wrong so I got a new $30 belt for it put it on and started cutting the grass yesterday. You guessed it burned that belt up to and it took a pulley with it this time.

So I decided instead of investing another dollar into this mower I was going to buy a new one(needs a lot more than just a new belt and pulley). Ended up finding one I liked at lowes and purchased it around 2pm, told them I would be back at 7pm to pick it up. Get there at 7 and they act like I took the mower at 2 when I purchased it, after arguing for 1/2 hour they finely loaded the mower on my buddies truck which has been waiting on me.......

Get it home and right as I am pulling it in the garage it throws the drive belt...........

To be continued.

just talked to the manager over there, he wanted me to bring it back and exchange it
I said if I bring it back I am returning it period.
I heard silence then he said he would have a new one to me within 48 hours.

what brand?

consumer mowers are pieces of shit.
better off buying an old simplicity or something and putting a new briggs on it.

I loved my Troy Built push mower. Started on the first pull every time. I have never had any experience with their riding mowers. My family has had good luck with John Deere (our JD has a Troy Built Motor i believe) and Kholer (Craftsman) Mowers.
