Important

When the time comes for me to buy a rider, it'll be a Deere. Dad's is the berries. The Kawasaki doesn't even sound like a lawn mower.

Also, there's a difference between the Home Depot Deere's and the JD Dealership Deeres. There's more to it than just price.

yer gawdamn right there is. We have both types and the original JD is 10X the machine that the Home Depot unit is. Camilles grandma has a 10 year old big JD mower/garden tractor and it is a hell of a machine. It will push a snow balde as well or better then the ATV does. :farmer:

the kaw motor is really nice.
dad got a chassis in good shape but the motor had a big hole in the block. Previous owner didn't check the oil. We stuck a new motor on it and it is the super pimp riding lawnmower.

Also, if a friend ever wans you to work on his ford focus, run away. Never has my ass been kicked so hard by a car. Lift is mandatory for working on one of those spawns, everything is designed to be dropped out as a unit fro mthe bottom.

My troy bilt is 6 years old and runs just fine. I even had it sitting outside for a season. Fires right up, mows the lawn.

Doesn't have a cupholder though. Has headlights, which apparently you need to mow when you should be sleeping.

I won't spend $3k on a lawn mower. Waste of money. The amount of time the average homeowner spends on one just doesn't justify the cost. You're better off getting nickle and dimed over the next 15 years than you are putting that money down up front. And you're still chopping grass instead of cutting it.

Now if I had the money and I had the yard, I'd own a National. That's a gorgeous machine.

I've been on the hunt for an push reel mower. For as little as my yard is I don't need anything that even has a motor.
I almost had one last year at spring cleanup time, but I went back to get it and it had already been snagged. Probably for scrap too. I would have fixed it up and made it work again.

Its funny to me: my boss has to know some about the competition's products to help sell ours (once in a blue moon), yet he has to read the side of the vehicle to know its a Grand Cherokee...It would have confused the she-it out of him if I had told him it was a WK.

dang side view mirrors...clipped one on a parked car last night at work going down a narrow side street with cars parked on both sides going to back another co-worker...

mac 'my first "accident" in 5 years' gyvr

you should have jumped out of the car and fired off a few rounds and said that someone was breaking into the car and that you saw them vandilize the car and break off the mirror....and that you think it was a terrorist :D

If you had done this off-duty, driving your F450 around, with the tow mirrors extended, it would at least be understandable.

So did you report it? :D

Lowe's/Home Depot Deere's are re-badged MTDs.

you think that i would be posting it here if i hadn't reported it? :)

actually they called me in and said that i was driving too fast down a narrow street and were upset that I didn't have my overheads on...and hit their car...we went back and did the paperwork involved after making sure the other co-worker got his mess cleaned up...once it was explained to them the reason for my haste they seemed to be more understanding...

there are two small marks on my mirror and a scuff...the 07 jetta on the other hand has no mirror left at all...

I was really mad cause i put 300 miles on the f450 with the small trailer this weekend and managed to miss all the fire hydrants...than i go back to work and smash stuff with a car...

I could use some days off...but not quite that way.

Me, neither... fighting off a doggoned cold right now, and that's keeping me out of the office.

I rode along to the scrap yard, and got to see it go into the shredder.
It was sad, but it's parts live on else where.
