Important

I dunno, man... My Vikes looked awful nice today.

'Course, Favre v Manning would be rough, don't know if I could bring myself to root against either one...

Robert

If they play like that next weekend the saints may not fare so well. The douchebag from the Cowboys who came over and started giving the Vikes a hard time needs to shut up and clean the sand out.

I hate computers. My laptop is FUBAR. No matter how I try to boot it, or what I boot it from, I get the BSOD with a STOP message. It alternates between 0x00000050 and 0x0000007E messages. Talked to Habib at Dell via chat, he ran me through some diagnostics I had already done and referred me to their fee-based support.

Dumb thing just up and died one day, I didn't install anything or download anything to make it do it. :wow:

After the go-round I've had with Dell on a clearly failing disk drive, Dell can go sit & spin.

Go Vikes! I've been a Vikes fan for a long time. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm NOT a Colts fan. Go Jets. They may not win, but I bet it will be a closer game than most will think.

I think The Vikings vs. Colts will be a great Match up. I will of course root for the Colts but say what you want about Favre he is still one of the best!

I'll have to keep that in mind then!

I feel like I have been smacked in the face by Diamond Dave the West Virginia Ninja (Google him, it is funny stuff). I can not breath through my nose due to being around grain dust all weekend....it sucks.

I met a very cool guy today. I also got to drool over his "pretty quick" Studebaker Avanti with just a tad over 1100hp. He holds the World Record @ 233.238mph.
Friendly and very down to earth, not to mention smart. There's a bit more to going 233mph than just holding down the skinny pedal.:D It's kinda neat to meet local folks like this. He lives in Effingham, IL.

That's wild that you have a local with the speed record. I'm a little baffled at why a Studebaker would be the best car to perform such a feat with, but to each his own.

FINALLY got the Jeep back together, except for putting the Y-pipe on. I needed a sawzall to take the old one off, and I really don't want to deal with putting it on. So tomorrow I'll trailer it to a shop and have them finish the exhaust and take care a few other odds and ends. That will get me back to "step zero" and I can end this distraction and start on the actual vehicle-modifying.

Factory fiberglass body, half arsed "aerodynamic" and big motors. The Avanti's are a fairly popular choice among those guys.

Sounds like a Vette would be a great choice then :D Only has to go 50mph faster than stock too!

Studebaker definitely made some distinctive vehicles though. My buddy had his wedding reception at the Studebaker Museum in South Bend, IN. Pretty neat to walk around and see the older models and the prototype cars.

I'm sure he's running in a certain class. The classes at bonneville are very specific, wheelbase, engine size, etc. What might work for a stude, might be an entirely different class for a corvette.
