Important

A 25 foot piece of 10 ga wire from the battery to the back of the jeep isn't going to cost you very much. The original reverse wires go to the switch part of the relay and you run power wires to the lights.

That's certainly not contributing to the spaghetti and is much more cost effective than getting LED lights. LED's that put out the light that the halogens do will definitely cost you more than a small automotive relay and some wire.

What if I were to run LED reverse lights? Dont those use lots less wattage?

Having to install a relay isnt that big of a deal, the thing is my jeep already looks like a spaghetti bowl. So fewer wires = better.

EDIT: After researching LEDs some more, I found that they use about 3% of the wattage required for the same output as halogens. So that means if i want the same light output as a 55w, then my LED setup would be using about 1.6w.

Do you guys think this would ok on the stock wiring? aka piggyback with no relay?
Probably but, you'll be paying alot for LED's that have the same output as two 55w Halogens. Here's the lamps I used. Amazon.com

Have you priced any LED's with comparable output?

Hey Mike I have those lights in Clear or at least something that looks really similar!

According to the Pilot site they are the same size.

i wish my JCR quarter panel guards would get here that i ordered forever ago! they sent my panels to Texas by accident and told me that mine would be here by late last week. still not here. kinda wishing i would have save my 370 bucks (panels and LEDs) and just bought a tubing bender and welder with the money. i hope these things are worth the wait
