I think they're "Compensation" bumpers BOB.........
Rev has one too.![]()
So I finally got some time this afternoon to put the new bumper on my farm truck/tow rig. It has a guarantee from the builder that it will take out deer at 70 mph and if anything behind the bumper (i.e. grill, radiator etc.) are damaged, they will replace it free! Along with that comes with a 50% off the next bumper if it is damaged in said collision w/ deer. I now introduce to you all....Bumperzilla!

I like that truck alot. Those bumpers look sweet.
I want a full size so bad a can taste it. My little ranger cant do much.
I want a bumper for my CTD that will strain a Subaru. Amazing just how bloody invisible a 7' tall, 7k lb. truck can be.
If you don't mind my asking, what's the sticker price on that bumper?
Thanks, I have really enjoyed this truck. Not sure you have been around long enough to catch the past few years of my bad luck, but for some reason (some of my own stupidity) I have gone through 3 farm trucks in the past few years. Deer collisions, fire, roll over and ice are all my arch nemisses (sp?)
List is $949 and they charge $50 to put it on. So, $999 of tax free goodness (tax exempt for farm use) It seems like alot for a bumper, but my deer to truck collision rate is not very good and this is better then having to mess w/ insurance considering my track record. If a person has factroy replaced bumper, grill, fog lights and hood, it is way more then the price of the HD bumper. Plus I can sell my stock bumper for a few bucks still.
The Dodge that I rolled has been rebuilt by its new owner and looks sharp. He put a new cab and flat bed on it and some facy-shamancy wheels on it. It is a city-boy farm truck now...probably wont ever see any work other then hauling around his Polaris Razor![]()
Good now I know what to look out for on Sunday.
