Important

So I finally got some time this afternoon to put the new bumper on my farm truck/tow rig. It has a guarantee from the builder that it will take out deer at 70 mph and if anything behind the bumper (i.e. grill, radiator etc.) are damaged, they will replace it free! Along with that comes with a 50% off the next bumper if it is damaged in said collision w/ deer. I now introduce to you all....Bumperzilla!

I think they're "Compensation" bumpers BOB.........
Rev has one too. :D

Wife was gonna make a pie for her family reunion. First thing she does is mention Sean.......

And Rev... thank you for explaining the Class D plates thing to her. That would have taken me all weekend to get through to her.

must be a "Ranch-hand" bumper?

BOB

Mine is a "Bull Buster" bumper made in Missouri. They are actually a bit heavier made (I was told) then a Ranch Hand. The company that makes them just sold to a local manufacturer in my county, so I picked it up from them and they gave me the new "deer slayer" warranty.

So true.....

I like that truck alot. Those bumpers look sweet.

I want a full size so bad a can taste it. My little ranger cant do much.

I want a bumper for my CTD that will strain a Subaru. Amazing just how bloody invisible a 7' tall, 7k lb. truck can be.

If you don't mind my asking, what's the sticker price on that bumper?

Thanks, I have really enjoyed this truck. Not sure you have been around long enough to catch the past few years of my bad luck, but for some reason (some of my own stupidity) I have gone through 3 farm trucks in the past few years. Deer collisions, fire, roll over and ice are all my arch nemisses (sp?)

List is $949 and they charge $50 to put it on. So, $999 of tax free goodness (tax exempt for farm use :D ) It seems like alot for a bumper, but my deer to truck collision rate is not very good and this is better then having to mess w/ insurance considering my track record. If a person has factroy replaced bumper, grill, fog lights and hood, it is way more then the price of the HD bumper. Plus I can sell my stock bumper for a few bucks still.

i saw the picture of the burned fsumthing50 and i heard about the rollover.

The Dodge that I rolled has been rebuilt by its new owner and looks sharp. He put a new cab and flat bed on it and some facy-shamancy wheels on it. It is a city-boy farm truck now...probably wont ever see any work other then hauling around his Polaris Razor :D

Yeah i hate it when you put a bunch of work into a truck get the body work done get it painted and then you are too afraid to skratch it so you never use it.

On another note. Just got done cleaning up a mess of bluegill for dinner. MMM fish... :D

Good now I know what to look out for on Sunday.

We are planning on leaving Joplin area around 8-8:30 on Sunday morning to head up that way to KS Rocks. I am getting ready to Mapquest it, what town is closest to it for directions??

On a good note, found out what happened to my boat motor. It was a blown freeze plug. Getting that replaced this week and then will see if that is all that was the matter. Should be, I hope! Still thinking about selling it even after it is fixed..any takers?? :D
