Took the family to Spring Mill State Park over the weekend. Had a great time, other than the rain Saturday afternoon. The park has a pioneer village complete with working grist mill, which is pretty cool. They run the mill on the hour to make corn meal, which they sell on site. There are also several caves in the park, but we left the camera in the truck for those hikes :doh:

Looks like a good trip Byron. Thanks for jogging my brain. It's been 20 years since I've been to Spring Mill. Cool place that I'd forgotten about. I'd like to take our kiddos there sometime.

I gotta ask those of you from the "Peoples Republic of Illinois", what compels half of your state to drive to Wisconsin every weekend? Some of them driving 6 hours (assuming they are from just across the border) or more just for a weekend. Do you not have lakes?

I was paying attention, thats what prompted the question. Seeing if recreation there is as bad as living there. Don't feel bad though, Doyle is driving business out of the state. Thompson also had welfare almost eliminated in his day too, Doyle is/was seeking to reverse that.
If cheese is the reason, I should have met Tyler by now.
And there's cheese and brats, then beer must be a vital key as well.
Thats funny you say that Jeff, of the last 5 vacations/getaways I've gone on 4 were not in WI. I'm being driven out of my own state. Though its okay, the locals know all the good spots anyway.
