Gotta love Marquette, MI. The NMU helps liven that town up. Could 've grabbed lunch together yesterday Rev. I would've bought. With the warm temps up there you should enjoy the parkway. They think it's summer darn near. Course I should not give you any more ideas.lol

They just issued a winter storm warning here in HI.

They're expecting 6" of snow!

On the summit of Mauna Kea :D

I got here in time for dinner.

I spent today checking out a TV station and then finding a transmitter tower.....4 hours on mud/sand/snow/ice roads.

I love my job :D

Rev

I am trainding on almost 2 million dollars worth of machinery today. You would think they would be complicated to run but they aren't that bad

Slackers.

I had a new clutch put in the CTD this week, a South Bend Clutch 13" CON-oFE. OHMYGAWD OHMYGAWD OHMYGAWD OHMYGAWD OHMYGAWD, it shifts amazing now. Gonna be time to turn the Smarty up, now that I've got a clutch that will hold the torque. I really had roasted the old clutch & flywheel. The flywheel was scorched all the way around, so was the pressure plate. The clutch disc looked pretty good, no cracks, and no broken springs, but it wasn't far from the rivets either. The throwout bearing was close to death.

Sean, I *MIGHT* be making a flying run to MI (Dad's been in the hospital again.) And, if I do, I may make 1 end of it around the south end of the lake.

Checking in.

Been really busy getting everything ready at the store to open up on April 1st.

Laid down my bike Monday on the way home from work. Wasn't too bad, I was already close to the ground leaned over on a curve when I hit some loose rock and slid. Tore my pinky finger up on my left hand, lots of scrapes and bruises, but I'm ok.

Damn man! Glad to hear you are OK!

Not gonna be making a flying run to MI this weekend. There's a proof of concept demo that's going pear-shaped in a big hurry right now, and I found out at 5:00 PM that one of my co-workers's wife is getting semi-emergency surgery first thing in the morning.

I finally recieved an offer on my house that was not a joke.
I accepted it, we close April 15th.
I should be able to put my saving account back together now!

I almost did not even counter his first offer, it was $40,000 below appraisal and $15,000 below asking price, I stood firm on my price, I countered him asking - $1000.00, final offer.

He took it.

It is amazing how many people think houses are being sold for nothing.
I have told two people to come back when they were serious.
One guy offered me $95,000, I didn't even counter.

The house that my g/f & I just bought had a couple of offers before our that were so low the seller didn't even counter, she just said "No." All told, we looked at close to a dozen houses, and a couple of them were foreclosures. The foreclosures would have taken a minimum of an extra $20k (one of them closer to $50k) just to make them livable, and the price was still almost obscenely high.

One interesting thing that was talked about at closing: the banks are *NOT* working with people, either in trouble, or in short sales. Looks like they're trying to make their portfolios as toxic as possible, until the bail-out money is committed. Watch for that blood bath.
