Important

My fawking brother woke me up at 5 am. The dog was barking as he came in drunk with 3 people so every time i am near his room i make a crap load of noise. Payback is a bitch! :D

I changed my oil today AND my oil pressure switch(or sending unit) whatever its called. I broke it when i was changing the oil. If anyone needs to borrow that socket i got it now! :D

Lucky, I wish that were my only Jeep problem. I'm still trying to figure out why it wont start. It just started stumbling as I pulled into my driveway on Friday and died, and wouldn't refire. Starting with a battery tomorrow (I tried jumping it and would still just turn over slow and started clicking) and I cleaned the IAC. Fingers crossed.

as remedial as it sounds, double check that your negative terminal is good and clean on the battery and on the block ground. I had a similar problem a while back and it was a corroded terminal and the ground cable had internal corrosion as well. worth a check.

Will make sure I do that, thanks.

Most common stumbling and then No start is a bad CPS connection a lot of time you can temp fix it just by unpluggging and replugging it back in HTH :repair:

Definitely not new, but not a bad deal for $125. Picked it up yesterday, since I was driving through Cincinatti anyway. Now to find a late 70s Bronco front to match. Glad to see your engines running good Nick.

I did not think that was too bad Rev...until I realized that was 12:30 AM...that whole AM-PM thing kind of ruined it for ya huh? :D

Travis your right, Dana 60's have 10 bolts or at least mine does. I even made an extra trip out to the shop just now to check. That axle pictured looks like a C9.25 to me as well.

(now just to get motivated to get my 60's under my rig :D )

Yep, just looked at the picture again. You can see the spanner nuts that adjust the bearing preload/backlash, and the lock clips that are bolted to the bearing caps that keep them from backing out. It is definately a C9.25.

I bought a D70 sight unseen and had a friend pick it up for me and once it got to my house it was a Sterling 10.25 so.....I tried to contact the sellar and he would not return my calls and I learned a quick lesson: Dont pay cash for anything from a stranger at a truck stop :D Oh well, I have a hell of a good boat anchor for $100 :D

I paid my buddy $50 to get it for me, so does anyone need a Sterling w/ 4.10's for $150?? :D:D:D

I did the same thing with a '79 Ford F250 front high pinion dana 44. Didn't figure out that it was actually a low pinion until the next day. It is still sitting on my scrap pile.
