Important

I put block heaters into both the XJ and MJ last summer in 90 degree heat. Paying off now.

The 99 that I just sold had a block heater, I wish I would have kept that rig. My "new" 98 that is my DD has bad juju surrounding it so far.......vandalized, hit a deer...

I knew the batteries in my CTD were marginal. They were put in the truck just before I bought it four and a half years ago, and they were cheap batteries then. I've had no problems in the past starting at -20 F, but those batteries have been deep discharged a couple of times in the last month.

I've had two babies doing that for the last two days....

Only good thing to come out of it.. I haven't gone to work...

I call my kids "my million dollar kids"...
You couldn't pay me a million dollars to take them from me....
and, you couldn't pay me a million dollars to have another one!

You know its dang cold when Big Trucks leave a 60 foot steam trail going down the highway and theres one broke down every few miles.

This Global Warming Makes Me Sh Sh Shiver

Part of the problem there, Nick, is the trucks that come up from the South starting with a full load of diesel that's only treated to 10 degrees F. Unless they dump some anti-gel in it, it will start to gel in the lines, and wax the filter up.

My 6.0 E350 started right up, first time I've used it this year, heater not used.

Of course, it's in a heated garage though :D

Yep your right on the fuel.. The air system must be maintained as well.

The extreme cold just brings out the worse in everything.

My CTD fired right up when I got home, it's also had the block heater running all day. 6 degrees out there right now, and I've got 2 new batteries to go in.

My 94 XJ fired right up yesterday AM. I realized it's been sitting a week before Christmas and thought I'd better drive it soon. It was -21 when I started it. I love that Jeep. :viking:

After the last few nights... I trade them for your dead Peugot.. and you can keep the tranny...

Ouch, my head hurts. My birthday is today so we hit the bars at midnight. A large number of shots and drinks in a hour and a half will do the trick.

Sounds like what I got back Thanksgiving weekend. Took me three days to shake it.

Hope ya feel better soon.

Nick

Thanks Nick.

I'm feeling a bit better today. I think I may have the first ever case of carpal tunnel due to wiping. I'm going to find an ACE wrap today.

Wiping?? I am truely impressed Hale, I pictured you more along the lines of wearing an adult diaper and saying "F"-it :D Just kidding, glad to hear that your feeling better.

2 hour lift my ass this is turning out to be a pain in my ass! It took 4 hours to get my trackbar bushing and bolt replaced. Didn't even get around to putting spacers on it!
