Important

You are gonna get tired of staying in one place.

:D

Rev

I know, which is why I am currently drunk...

Just saw a great band, possibly the best I have ever seen. They started singing "Riders in the sky" but instead of the normal words they started singing "we don't need no education". Yeah, thats right, "Riders in the Sky/ The Wall" rocks! There is something about Led Zepplin and yodeling that just goes together, and apparently I never got it when sober. It seriously about brought a tear to my eye. If you are ever in Evansville, IN on a Thursday night, head over to Hootie Hoots in Newburgh because the band seriously rocks!

I'm going to crash, better put out the anchor as well.

What was the name of the band?

I used to follow a few small regional bands to shows in E-ville, Terre Haute, Indy, Bloomington...

Today was a good day in the garage. Lots of new engine parts.

I just got aroused.

Oh, I guess I'm just dreaming for now. If I was going to buy, I think I would've already grabbed the black one in Ft Wayne. Shore purdy...

But I'll limp mine along for another six months or so. I at least want that 200k before I retire it. And once I get the doors back off in a couple of months, I won't mind how bad the body is! :D

Who are you guys using to insure your XJs? I got a letter from Geico stating they are dropping my XJ from our policy at its end because of the modifications. I've got until Feb. 27th to find a new company.

I have used Shelter Insurance for 15 years or better. I backed our Tahoe (haha, I know) into my Cherokee a few years back and when the adjuster came to look at the Tahoe and Cherokee damage, he was more interested in checking out my XJ, not from damage but he was an old CJ guy. He said nothing about my XJ being modded. A couple of my friends use State Farm and have been happy with them.

Rob - That's a nice 2 door.

Nick - You're gonna love that engine. I still miss mine.

Thanks I'am just stressing because Winterfest is so close and I'am still not complete on the engine swap.. Took a vacation next week ,that should get me back on track.

Winterfest or Bust

I use Nationwide: auto, home, and life. I can't say if they're any good, cause I've never asked em for anything. I will say that they very reliably take my money every month.

One other thing, though... Last year, when I wanted to move the xj up to full coverage, they wouldn't do it without physically inspecting the jeep for prior damage. I did NOT want an insurance guy looking that close at the rig, so I just skipped the whole thing.

I guess "liability" is something else I'll limp along with for a few more months, then get full coverage on the new one.

I use Country Companies Byron. You have to be a member of the Farm Bureau but that's fine, it's got it's perks and we do take advantage of them. The FB membership pays for itself.

How did they find out about mods?

I told them when I added it to my policy last year. I didn't want to end up uninsured if an accident occurred and they didn't know.

I'm gonna try State Farm, Nationwide and Esurance. I had Progressive before, but they charged an additional rider because of the mods.

I've insured my vehicles through State Farm for some 20 years now, with no complaints or problems.
