Important

I am also sorry that the Dutch guys saw for their first time in America Chattanooga TN.
I told them the whole country isn't like this.
I asked them if they understood the instructor, they said no, I said neither did I....
If I was an English teacher, I would apply down here, there is obviously a shortage of them in the high schools....
they do have an ample supply of beer though......

It is BRUTALLY COLD here!
There is a weather alert on TV.
You will DIE if you go out side.
I am not sure the people of East Tennessee will survive.
It is 22* here Oh the Huge Matinee!

-11 at the office w/ a -28 wind chill. Felt like -300 at 3:30 AM while I was getting things ready to feed.

Hell of a morning to strat out with. Our freeze proof cattle tanks were partially froze even with the tricklers running, One tank was froze completly, so had to chop ice on the pond in that field so the cattle will have water. It was damn near freezing back as soon as I would break through to the water. It was even hard starting on the tractors with the block heaters being plugged in all night. Gotta love it.....come on Winterfest!!

had a grinding noise coming from the front of the diesel...determined hubs to have some play, decided to buy new hubs, rotors, and pads...

$741 bucks later...

the rotors fought me all the way off...had to use the torch and big slege...still can't get the hubs out, they are STUCK on there...

but at least the garage was 68 degrees while i was wrenching...

mac 'bought a cummins...but it came wrapped up in a dodge' gyvr

I'm miserable.
Large quanities of liquid coming from both ends.

That went around here last week. Our family dodged the bullet but a friend's family all got it.

Fuel pump on the Blazer took a dump yesterday. It's now a driveway ornament until I can come up with $$ for a pump. XJ is now the DD, which is nice.

Its like 4 degrees here with a retarded wind chill. Going to go drive the free car i'm getting tomorrow after i get off today! i'll flex the Caddy and get a pic for you guys! :D

I know that feeling.... although it's either the alternator, or the intake heater relays that are jacked on my CTD. And I don't have a 68 degree garage to wrench in.

Gonna be a cold weekend of camping and wheeling. Woke up this morning to -20 with a wind chill of -55:eek:. At least the weekend looks a little better than now.

I've very fortunate to have a garage that the truck fits in and is heated...tho with 90k miles on an 06 i never thought i'd be fighting the hubs getting them off like i am or even replacing them already...i just hope it makes the grinding noise go away...

mac 'hates wrenching on stuff your making a payment on' gyvr

Bite me, Mac!

I picked up a remanned alternator, and found a shop a mile and a half away with an open bay this afternoon. Hopefully, it's just the alternator (after 240,000 miles) and not the relay set.

I don't remember..... is your CTD 4wd? I'm thinking seriously about picking up the EMS Offroad kit to run Warn lockouts & *CHEAP* replaceable bearings on my CTD.

yup mines 4x4...thought about lockouts but those kits run 1500 to 2000 bucks! 400 in hubs is cheap...plus by the time i'm done on the hub reinstall i'll be able to get them out next time...

picked up an air hammer tonight...we'll see what kind of a mess i can make friday afternoon...

mac 'can only get 4 vehicles in the heated garage when the megacab is in there' gyvr

For ChiXJeff

crappy cellphone pic from the other day when i was detailing the inside of the truck...

right now it pulled in with the tires off trying to get the hubs off...

i think this pic should work...
