Had a saloon girl last night....about 14....she had a phone clipped on the top of her costume...it did not touch chest or boob....

She got extra candy.

:D

May have a line on a potential tow rig. Kim's work is phasing out old vehicles, and one is a 95-97ish (old body style) F350 bucket truck. Standard cab, automatic, 4x4, 460 IIRC. Swap out the bucket for a bed, and it would work great I highly doubt I will end up getting it, but I can find out more info if any of you guys are interested.

picked up a free to me go kart chassis yesterday...

needs work...but its free...

I was coming home yesterday from Chicago, and thought I smelled brakes burning. Turns out the passenger side caliper wasn't releasing and the drivers was dragging. I just replaced them 2 months ago. :banghead:

Luckily I was close to Autozone and was able to swap them out. Only took an hour to swap them out and bleed them twice. In the dark.
I was sure happy I had everything in my Jeep and didn't have to drop a dime.

I should have done the rear brakes on my CTD yesterday. Problem is that the right side drum is frozen, and I don't have a 13" puller. Hosed it down with penetrating oil, hope to get it off this week.

You don't need a puller, just a jeep. Remove the axle shaft and the hub retaining nut. Reinstall the axle shaft with a tow strap around it, and tighten the bolts as much as possible. Hook the other end of the tow strap to the jeep and pull the hub and drum off. I've had to remove frozen drums this way a few times, just be careful it doesn't fall off the jack stand when you pull on it. :D

The drum is frozen to the hub, the drum slips over the studs, just like an XJ's drum. It's not like earlier floaters that had bearing right in the drum (editted.)

That might be an alternative, take the hub off with the drum in place, set it upside down on the ground, and smack the back side of the drum. I'd rather not do that if I don't have to, though.

Going to look at an 88 coupe deville wednesday. Needs a rear brake line. The body is straight and it has 175k. I figure hey 200 bucks sounds pretty good for something to scoot around town in. I figure hell i can fit a 5-6 cube box in the trunk for 1 15 :D

Be wary.

I drove a bucket for a number of years.....E-350....beat the living daylights outta that thing. It is hard work hauling around all the hydro gear and boom.

done deal, I voted this morning

my theory is that a person has no right to bitch about the outcome if they do not vote!!!

Absolutely, Mac.

Quite a number of years ago, while hoisting a tasty beverage in a bar, I got into a discussion about the current political situation. The other gent was....ummm...... more than a little passionate about his views, then said that as a conscientious objection, he was not registered to vote.

Boy, did he get bent out of shape when I told him that his opinions meant NOTHING.

Doing my normal drop and hook tonight in Chicago, I won't get there intill 2-3 in mourning..

Just wondering what a guy might face if Obama looses??? Think I'll be packing larger heat this trip.

Central Ave. exit off I-55 in Stickney. I've never had any trouble before ..

Nick

Yup....thats the spot.

Keep your eyes open.....just in case.

I would watch real close at the intersection of 55 and Central, there is a large "public housing" complex there.

You should be fine....but watch a little more then normal.

I am in Minneapolis tongiht, and need to go in at 2AM, I will also be on watch.

Mini-no-place? Wave on the way by, man.

Voted last week. I couldn't find MacGruber on the ballot, and the workers didn't have any idea what I was talking about.

Waiting for the Silent Majority...

I'm doubting there will be a final verdict tonight, but be safe Nick!
