x2! Wish my wife was that cool :kicks rocks:

Maybe after your kids are married/moved out, she will be :D

I think you two have some different priorities at this stage in your life.

Cindy claims she doesn't care what she drives, as long as it gets her where she's going. But when I got her the '99, she thought it was too ordinary-looking, so I took care of that problem for her :D

Then when I told her I wanted to buy another one, she thought I was insane, but had the cash waiting for me when I got home. Although I told her it looked OK, when she saw it she couldn't believe how good it looked for $500. Still need to get her to drive it, she hasn't driven a manual since we sold her Taurus SHO 12 years ago...

I'll ride shotgun and hold your coffee for minimum wage+snacks.

I hate working on stock height jeeps!!!

it took me all day including cutting the oem sway bar links with a sawzall, disconnecting the shocks, and unbolting the exhaust downtube to get enough axle droop and clearance to remove the oil pan on the MJ...

Not to mention seriously denting the edges of the pan to get it to break free once all the bolts were off!

it only took me about an hour last time I did it on Skanky...

Without even jacking her up!

Moral: Lift kits = easier access

:D

tomorrow... the rear main!

Thanks for the warning, I'm pretty sure my '94 needs a rear main.

Hope it goes well for you tomorrow...

I started at 4:30, got the front axle out of Cindy's jeep, the new 4.56 geared one in place with coils in and control arms bolted up, after pressure washing it and drilling and tapping the spring seats for extended bumpstops. Also cleaned and re-never-seized the ACOS.

remote from Lexington Kentucky
been to the horse races at Keeneland
I am also attending a Three-Day Event.
this is where the horses run for miles cross country,
while jumping over big-azz obstacles and water hazards.

It chilly enough to sport my new MWC hoodie. Man, I'm I gonna turn some heads today.....

got a tow rig today. 1990 gmc 2500 4x4 extended cab with the TBI 350 and 4 speed tranny with granny low. For the low low price of free. I've never owned a chevy before, anyone know the specs for this thing?

tranny? xfer case? I count 14 bolts on the rear end, but it sure doesn't look like a 14 bolt plow. IFS, but I don't plan any mods. I'm happy, but it's weird driving with a 1:1 3rd gear as the highest speed.

About what a Chevy is worth :D

It should do fine, especially if it's got 4.10s

Finished up Cindy's jeep, it's graduated to the big test rock now...

Today I looked at a 1996 Ford F250.
I miss having a pick up.
I has a 460, 103,000 miles, dual tanks, four wheel drive, power windows, doors, and seats.
It is a repo at the local bank.
I need to sell the Expy first, anyone want a 1997 Ford Expy Eddie Bauer?

Good luck with that. With gas at $3.61 here, I couldn't get anyone to look twice at my pig. I decided to live with it, and put a little lipstick on her :D

Flowmaster Fo-dee last week, and I just finished this up today:

If its along 75, down by the gas station with no gas. Its a pretty nice truck..I stopped and looked at it before....

note to those replacing rear main seals in the future:

permatex gasket remover and a 1" diameter wire brush attachment for a drill make removing the remains of an old oil pan gasket much much more bearable!!!

I might actually be done tomorrow!

Only 4 months after getting the heep!
