Important

Yep. End of September. The hope is to have the cj restored and looking nice for the drive from the wedding to the reception. Would it be wrong to ask for jeep parts as wedding gifts?

"The bride and groom are registered at Cabo Engineering."
Sounds cool to me.

well, my plan is to start tearing apart my 2000 tonight.....hopefully i can have it back together in a week or so :)
Wasn't that the plan on the first one?

Bad day Tuesday...

Got a flat on the way to work, tore up one of my 33" Firestones.
Didn't have jack or spare with me, wasting too much gas on the roof.
So the wife has to pick me up, run me home, and back out to the heep.
Heep decides to fall off the jack, only saving grace road shoulder was in pretty good shape.

Get to work, boss decides to bark at me, because the idiots he hired, act like idiots. Then a truck backs over a pallet spilling pails of sealer all over part of the parking lot. Then two idiots(the pair that the boss was bitchin about) smash a skid between two forklifts, dumps about 5000 parts on the floor.

Finally, my day ends. I drag myself out to my heep to head home, and I find a obnoxious green magnet stuck to my bumper. Its raining like Noah is stopping by, so I drove home with it on there.

Actually, I sold it to you dumb asses for a pack of cheap smokes and jug of Yukon Jack.
Damn we got ripped off.

I broke the 2 originals left on Kendriks rig, don't know why the clowns who replaced the first 2 put the stock ones back on the others instead of stainless.

you know, i've replaced the rear shocks on 3 different XJ's before (all older, too: 92/93/95) and only broken one upper bolt.......what the hell did they change in the later models? I broke all 4 on my 2000! I wasn't expecting that to happen......

oh well....

That's funny. I've done 2 and I've only managed to save 1.

Today's safety tip - jackstands and gravel/dirt do not mix well. Especially after 1" of rain.

What were you trying to do? JIM.
