De-tuned to 350HP for Hertz, the ONLY models that are black and gold

The real deal-

Even detuned this thing will give my buddies vette a run....traction control was ON all the time and I was still able to get rubber-smoking. Seemed to be a gear head magnet, in a region of built rice....it made itself known.

Too cool that Hertz is doing this.
In the late 60s/early 70s they did the same thing; you could rent a Shelby Mustang from them.
They discontinued it when their rentals kept showing up at drag strips.
Guys would rent them for a day and flog them at the strip that night.

Not true. They stopped renting hertz shelby's because ford stopped the program.

The hertz program was actually called rent a racer or something to that effect. It was part of their advertising campaign.
