Important

I talked to Mark.
He is recovering. Wasn't as much damage as the Dr. had thought. He's on pain meds, and dosen't care for the imobilization of the whole thing. Other than that he's doing well.

I'd like to plan another trip down there sometime this summer ... Les

IIRC when we went, it was April, and it was already getting pretty hot out.

that may be a better trip for the Fall.

Well, today was the first day I took the motorcycle to work this year. The tank was almost empty and I filled it for just over 10 dollars. I can stomach that alot more than the 45 bucks to fill my jeep or my truck.

when I got the honda it had zero fuel in the tank.
cost $30 to fill it. I can live with that much better than the $60 it took to fill the truck, and I'll probably go farther on 10 gallons in the honda than I did on 20 with the MJ.

I fill up once a week in my honda, $25-30 and I drive more than most people i know. 350-400 miles a week give or take.... best investment I ever made :D!
Piker. I commute 5 days a week, 46 miles EACH WAY. That's 92 miles a day, 460/week. Unfortunately, the fuel savings of a Civic over a CTD just doesn't justify it, IMHO.

they do when the civic cost you $200 :)

I daily drive my Jeep.

Fill it up once a month and drive it 5+ days a week.

I couldn't walk and spend less money.

Mine is a DD. 60 miles a day round trip to work. About 240 miles to the tank. You do the math. I run Speedway 93 octane. It gives me the best mileage.

I need to get me an old Yota Tacoma again.

Of course...I don't pay for gas. :D

that's all the mileage you get ou of that thing?
hell, the MJ pulls 22 on the highway.

I've been considering thinking seriously about a different mode of transportation. Fawk, if fuel is going to be $3/gallon, what's the point of having a built XJ if I can never afford to get it to the trailhead?:tears: Time to find a different hobby?:dunno:
If it's still at $3 come June, that trip to the BL's is in jeopardy.

Does the additional mileage offset the additional $.20 per gallon?

That is if I am nice to it.

Its the cap on the back that kills it, and of course it will run rings around an MJ. :D

bah, I still pulled 20 coming back from WF, and you saw all the crap in the back of it.
of course, you're probably right about running rings around the MJ, but it still cruises at 75 just fine.

Better cross your fingers then cause their talking about gas being up to $4 a gallon by the end of summer. Their going to milk us as much as possible!! Something must be in the works for a different fuel alternative, least that's all I can think. This shit is getting old!! :flamemad:

I am thinking about getting a motorcycle, figure if I fill up the truck 2 less times a month that will easily pay for the bike and insurance.
