Important

Once you cage it, there is NO need for a top.

Trust me, whatever reason you can come up with for a top, I can address it.

Rev

But Rev, Tyler can't get his hair wet! It might get all puffed up and what not... :jester::shhh:

Rev

Which is exactly why Rev has 2, count em, 2 tops.

shuuuuut uppp! :D you know if my hair gets wet it turns to cheese curls!

Speaking of cheese curls......I seen on "Unwrapped" how those are made. Kinda cool.

I know once I 'cage mine... (Yes that's in the plans) I will remove parts of the roof. There are times when I look at a Wrangler with the top down and wish I had that, then I think about it and know that I took the smart route.

Yup, I could hear it from behind me on Green. Did it end up crapping out on you eventually?

Distributor took me one shot, thanks to some tips from Jeff.
yeah, I drove it on theweekends just to keep the brakes from rusting solid again and it crapped out on the street. had to push it back into a parking lot and take a strap home.

I figured that pump had about 30 hours of run time on it. it was installed literally the day before I drove down for WF. So it was only 5 dollars an hour. :explosion

it's sized correctly for the motor, according to what Bosch says an OEM renix pump is capable of, and it gets 12V. I'm hoping that it was just a crappy unit, and that this isn't a trend of things to come.

I was planning on replanting some beans today and tomorrow...just decided to hell with it. It rains everytime I turn around and it is not worth the effort at this point. It is so hot that I have a hard time getting motivated to go out to the shop and work on the Jeep. When I do get out there I ralize there is a fridge full of cold beer and I get side tracked pretty easy  I guess I might go ahead and hook up the A/C in the shop. I can just imagine what my utility bill is going to be if I do.

I have been given the official go-ahead to take a mobile A/C unit from work. So once I get an exhaust vent ran, I should have garage A/C. :greensmok

The trick is that you can't drink, and then go work on the Jeep. You've got to get just a little bit of work in, first, then crack the first beer. Of course after 5 or 6 you'll probably still say screw it.

So I lost my digital camera years ago and have been making do with a phone camera ever since then. I'd like to pick up a real camera again before the crawl. What's an affordable yet decent way to go these days? I had a Canon Powershot before and it seemed to work pretty well.

I had a Sony that I bought 3 or so years back and paid upwards fo $450 for it...never was impressed with it. Shutter speed was not very good and it just seemed like a bad purcahse from the begining, never met my needs. It detonated at Rockfest when I was in the rain taking pictures of rain soaked beauties :D I think my next camera will be a good cannon or something of taht nature. Hale has a nice camera he was taking pics of water and flowers at WF09 with, you may see what he has to say. Now I think of it, I think I saw him outside my window this year taking pics too!! :D

Camera shopping is confusing as hell. Even if you know the exact features you want, there will be several good manufacturers to choose from, and they will often have new models coming out so often that several will be on the shelves at the same time.

It doesn't sound like you're looking for a DSLR, but do you want pocket sized or something larger? HD video? Mega-zoom? Optical image stabilization? Memory card preference? AA or proprietary batteries?

Nah I'm not trying to keep up with Hale or anything. :D Just something pocket sized. HD video isn't necessary but recording more than 30 seconds is certainly a plus. Optical zoom in the 5-10x range is good enough. I don't need anything great for image stabilization, I think most cameras do some form of it anyway these days? SD(HC) card is preferred, so I can load it up with 16GB or so. Proprietary batteries are fine, I do prefer being able to remove the battery to charge it instead of using a cord.

I'll be doing some looking today, just wondering what has worked well for others.

Cheeseman, were you able to save the pics off of your Sony then? I should probably see some of these "rain soaked beauties" to get a feel for image quality, etc. :D

I was able to save teh card, but it is a real small card adn it does not work in my new laptop. I am trying to find a way to get the card on someone elses computer to retrive the pics. I had about 200 pics or more in there and a lot of them were b-day pics of my son etc...and about 20-30 Rockfest pics :D
