My back is a wreck from the TREC race...but all worth it...

I hope that I feel the same way after 20 hours in the diesel on the church pew seats on Thursday going to Colorado...

What's in Colorado Springs?
I'm actually considering buying a business and relocating there.

Hey full width guys... found a set of Dana 60s for $500. Front looks like low-pinion driver-side drop. Pretty rusty but complete from brake-to-brake. Is that a good price? Obviously I'll have to go look at them to see exactly what the deal is...

And I know that if I have to ask if it's a good deal, I'm probably not prepared to do this sort of a swap. I figure if these are a good score I can store them until I learn what the hell I'm doing.

That is a good price. I am asking $1000 for the set I have in my shop. It is a bit of a job on the swap, but not super crazy...

Good to know. I remember talking with Brian about how much his swap cost overall and I was pretty stunned. I'm not really interested in going full width right now, but I figure if I got the axles now I'd have a year or so to get them built.

I have been sitting on this set I have for about 2 years and now I am just going to sell them for extra $ b/c I have had a change in my build plans (and trying to buy another farm :farmer:) The thing that sucks about having a set just sitting around is that they always seem to be in the way...If finally rolled mine out to one of the barns and threw a tarp over the rig :D

Already there. I have a XJ D44 in my tiny 2-car garage that I am constantly tripping over. So why not throw a couple more (bigger) axles in there as well? Hope you're able to buy that land around you, talk about owning land as far as the eye can see..

This will be my first stop in Colorado Springs...my normal route out west is flying down 70 via denver to Moab...well that's not true, I went skiing in Colorado 10-12 years ago, and it was south of Denver, but I dont recall where...

I'll let you know tho after our return...

helluva good deal if that front is a Kingpin 60...

only marginal deal if balljoints...

mine are out of a 87 Ford front and a cargo van for the rear. I also have a Sterling 10.25 in the mix as well...but is kind of spoken for by Travis if he decides to fix up his ol' dually :D

That has honestly crossed my mind, but I am in a glacial till area and there are not hardly any rocks anywhere to be found and the wheeling would be marginal at best due to the lay of the land.

I am hoping that I wont have to start to liquidate my toys just to afford it. I have been working today with a fellow at farm Credit Services and I believe that I can use the equity in my house to act towards a down payment on the new farm since they both adjoin each other and if that works I can refinance on a 25yr fixed and combine the house and current property with the new farm. That my friend would be sweet.

And Nick...how dare you even mention getting rid of the cheese :D

turn it into a park and we will all bring some rocks and stuff each time we come and slowly build it up.

If you're going through the Springs, ya gotta stop at Penrose (hour away) to do Indy.

Best trail I've ever seen.
Seriously

Hell, I'd go there INSTEAD of Moab.

They make em that way so that when you break down, you have a nice place to wait for the wrecker :D

Oooooh! Thats funny right there.

Only taking the comp buggies and there isn't enough room to go wheelin and be able to take all the crew wheelin... :(

originally we had talked about taking some trail rigs with us and wheelin a couple of days after the event but it just didn't work out...

Indy truly is comp rig worthy.
If nothing else, if it's not far out of your way, stop by and walk it.
