Just got a link sent to me from a random number, porn that takes place in a nice early XJ with tan interior. Not sure who sent it, but thank you.

A while back power tool batteries got brought up in here, Manche chimed in I'm pretty sure. Looking for a good source on Milwaukee M28's that won't cost me what a new tool will.

I got a box of Milwaukee and DeWalt stuff from the local Donaldson plant for free so if I can throw a little money at the stuff to refurbish them.

Boobs

The batteries inside a Milwaukee pack can't be sourced privately. They're made by a company in Canada.

If your packs are junk, you can try the warranty department, sometimes they hook people up. Otherwise you have to buy new batteries.

We just had a discussion recently of the cordless vs. corded tools and applications. One guy was arguing his side of corded tools being more reliable and he can own a small generator that is multiuse as well as run all corded tools on a job site and not have to worry about short lived expensive batteries...but also the argument was brought up over the cords being all over a job site. It eventually ended with every stupid scenario being covered and we went to town and ate a sammich (while my batteries were charging).

I hadn't intended to crack open the battery cases, but I will contact them, thanks Josh.

When I said refurbish I meant the tools. The two DeWalt drills (an 18 and a 12v) smell like motor but still work for now so I won't do anything about them. The Milwaukee drills (two 28v's) spark so I think new brushes for those, haven't checked on the 18v Milw drill yet. The Milw 28v impact spins slow and doesn't impact well so I'm not sure if the batteries are just that clapped out or if there's more that is wrong.

I own corded stuff and it's no big deal to me because I usually just work in my garage, these would be nice to have in addition to my corded/pneumatic stuff.

Yeah, I know, I've been searching around for parts, trying to determine what's worth putting money into.
Just wanted to bounce my thoughts off some of you that know this stuff better than I do.

Anyone here have Rugged Ridge XHD Seats? I have a WJ drivers seat but found singe XHD seat for sale in box can get for $120. WJ seat is nice but hate the power recline.

The "Rugged Ridge seat" sounds like the cousin to the Sybian machine.....saddle up big boy.

I have 2. They don't sit down like the stock ones, you'll have to build a bracket. For me it's fine because I'm short, but someone taller than 5'10 might have issues.

You could probably spend some time and make a really nice bracket, but they're still too wide for the space the seat fits in. The recline lever is tight to the interior trim.

They are comfortable, durable and inexpensive and they come with holes for a harness.

Gotcha. I'm 6'2" so I'll just try to install manual recliner instead. Anyone here ever done that swap?

Dewalt cordless tools are the best. I beat the living shit out of mine for years then I upgraded to 20v and sold my 18v to some sucker for $300.00. The only tool I broke was a drill that I dropped out of a 50 foot lift.

I've heard they work under water too.

Look for the wj 03-04 era cloth seats. Comfortable and durable and some are non powered. They are similar to xj cloth seats, just built better and you can get them in black too. I have the black se seats from an 04 in my what and I really like them. The se seats even say jeep on the headrest
