Well I fixed my transmission problem in the Astro...I bought it for $1000 in sept and sold it for $800 tonight. Tax time is a good time to sell stuff .

that's not the super awesome VSR style with no current loss, but those are also like $200 in that size. I mean, I know your farmer mailbox is good, but I didn't think the benefits were worth the cost.
The reason it has a giant heatsink is because you'll lose some voltage in there. it is rated for marine use, so it's all sealed up.
