Important

nitro buggy lives again.

breaking in a motor sucks. I just wanna go fast, but then I also want a motor that lasts more than a gallon of fuel.

so I guess patience is the name of the game. 3 tanks in. Maybe next tank I lean the needles a touch.

so I fully expect other people to bring RC things to the winterfest so we can race.

Guess I'm gonna have to find something 4 wheel drive and fast then? Only thing we have are stadium trucks and crawlers.

I think my boss's VXL slash shall come along to WF. I cant get my nitro to tune in warm summer much less in below freezing

what fuel?
You likely need a hotter plug.
hot plugs are easier to tune because they're more tolerant of a rich mixture.
cold plugs can generate more power because you can run them dead lean and they won't die, but your needle will be super sensitive.
This one has a P3 ultra hot in it and it fires up @ 20* no problem and it's sloppy rich for break in. 15% fuel.
The more nitro you use the colder it needs to be too.

Funny you say HK I'm looking at this or the badbug, two different rigs and price points but bith look fun

the badbug isn't bad, there's one here because dad picked it up on black friday for like $80.

the desert fox is known to suck. If you want a HK truck that doesn't suck the trooper is known to be a good value. Acme makes it, just like my rumble.
