garage sale = making people pay for stuff you were probably going to have to pay to get rid of.
got to see LOTS of interesting people yesterday...we will see what the sunday crowd brings. i found it hilarious every time the early people yesterday mining for gold couldn't find anything worth thousands of dollars for 50 cents. then they leave looking at you like all you have is a bunch of junk...well duh?
Yard/garage sales is how we got half of my daughters clothes, most babies outgrow clothes so fast or season change they only wear them a handful of times. Come in a couple weeks there is a local festival where I can get tons of baby clothes at sales to it for pennies on the dollar.
People in our town just dumped bags of baby clothes on our price when the twins were born. There was more stuff then they ever could have worn. We filled our van twice with baby clothes when my wife took them to a baby only sale.
Garage sales were not worth the trouble for us. Got something that's worth $10 for sale for a buck, people want it for a quarter.
Rather donate it and take the tax deduction.

Take Rt. 6 west to Langly, IL.
A place called the Psycho Silo is where everyone is going now.
It is a bar in an old grain silo.
My favorite is in Starks, where 72, 20, and 47 all converge.
Just a we bit to the west on 72 is Starks Tavern.
They have indoor smoking violations hanging on the walls like trophies.
Definitely no shit give about it either.
