-WARNING- RANT INCOMING...

fighting with my home warranty already. water softener started acting funny a few days after we bought the place. made a claim. got approved. they sent a tech out who said it was an easy fix and would take 10 to 15 minutes and cost $189 (my deductible is $75). he goes to his truck and calls the warranty place. then my phone rings and it the warranty people saying that they are now denying my claim. the tech comes back in and says I can pay the $189 myself or the $75 and he will be on his way and I can deal with it myself. I was so pissed off that I told him to kick rocks and to get his $75 from the warranty company since they should never have sent him out on a denied claim.
I emailed my local warranty rep and sent him a very ugly email and he replied saying that we will get the vendor back out asap and make sure that the work is approved.

I'm so irritated right now. I hope that vendor is still willing to do business with them. If not ill be buying a new softener and installing it myself since I don't know crap about fixing them and mine is very outdated anyways. Or they will have to find another vendor to get out here and they had trouble finding this one.

My realtor told me that the home warranty's are a joke and just fluff that's added to make the deal "better"

i heard that as well, but i had to submit a claim not long after closing and it went really smooth. i was glad we got it.

Sweet!

Was the claim more than what the warranty cost?

Basement knockdown texture done.what a messy job.

seller paid for our warranty. I knew nothing about it until I got the paper work for it at closing. I sent some angry emails and made some calls. the vendor is coming back today and the claim is approved again.

I can publicly release that the memorial that the MWC will be funding at RedBird SRA will be an engraved bench in honor of Aaron Thompson to be placed in the rock crawl area at RedBird. The funds will be paying for the materials and costs involved with building/purchasing the bench. There are still several stickers on hand ready to be shipped for your $5 per sticker donation. Please paypal your donation to [email protected] and include your address in the comment box. Thank you for all the orders so far and thank you to Jacob Schenk (JakeWI) for making the stickers.

jennie wants sticker, can the MWC account process a card?

you know my thoughts on paypal.

also, I have a local place that imports rock direct from China, and does all of the sandblasting. They're the people that sell to your local garden store. I could probably hook up a deal, they don't normally sell to the public, but I'm friendly.

I could stick it on a trailer and get it to Matt. they're heavy. Jennie's turtle weighs 300 lbs.

Next time someone gets snarky about what their membership pays for....send this to them. Nice job BOD and the folks involved.

This would be fun to own. I think my yard would become a race track.

I don't know why I convince myself that hookers and blow are a bad idea....in any month.

I miss Flex being on here, I have no one to give a hard time to about toothy BJ's and chipped beef.
